chris and theo having sleepovers every week at alternating houses…
buck and eddie pretending it’s not a sleepover for them too, but they have an unspoken little ritual that the one coming over will fall asleep on the other’s couch righttt near the end of the movie +
"okay, we are going on a date," buck says looking absolutely smug. it's annoying.
"come again?" eddie asks, his face scrambled in confusion.
"we," buck repeats, pointing his finger at eddie and then back at himself. "are going on a date."
"why?" eddie's confusion hasn't+
“You can look away, you know.” Eddies voice was soft from the doorway, “They’re not going to disappear.”
Bucks eyes never left the two boys curled up in Christopher’s bed. The older boy asleep, one arm wrapped protectively around the four year old asleep half on top of him.
“- I mean seriously? Earthquakes, yes, sure. They *can* happen in California. It’s normal. Expected, even. Wildfires, can’t avoid those -“
“Buck-“ Eddie tried to interrupt.
“Landslides? Unusual but yes, entirely possible and not unheard of.”
“Buck, we’re in the waiting room-“
Max trying to remember when he drove at Sepang and realizing how old he is 😭😭
“This was over 10 years ago … so 15 years ago, no 16 years ago … 17 actually, 09 maybe … it was, yes 09. Long time- FUCK! HOW LONG IS THAT??? WHAT?! IM OLD! IM FINISHED!!” 😳😱 *cue max processing the fact he’s old*
I fucking love people who become more themselves with age. Stranger taste. Clearer boundaries. Louder laugh. Less interest in impressing random people. Watching somebody slowly stop auditioning for the world is fucking beautiful.
