@CharlotteLaws@7kgs Best thing of all was you period! Hate that your family had to go through that experience. Love your support and courage for all those women who didn't have a resource until you. Your integrity is like nothing I've ever encountered and women together are always stronger!
We are asking for Al-Aqsa to be recognized as a place of worship and for it to be treated as such. We are asking to live, love and feel safe. We are asking for compassion, prayers and awareness. #Palestine
Many protests have been happening all across the globe and recently here in Chicago 25,000+ individuals attended a rally in hopes of bringing awareness of what is taking place in the West Bank and the Ghaza strip. I think it's important to understand what is the ASK. #Palestine
What are people trying to achieve/ accomplish. It's scary because many think we are just protesting out of hate. THIS IS NOT THE CASE! We are protesting because we want our homes and lands to be respected and for palestinian lives to matter and for basic human dignity. #Palestine
@MrSteele106@district106 They are an amazing group of young men that really work hard at supporting one another. Thanks coach for for teaching them how to be upstanding athletes and citizens. Way to go hornets!
@KayeEllen17 Chicago, Illinois. I am truly sorry for your loss. My daughter is 11 and has been following along every night and she is having a hard time with this. If there is any organization close to your hearts let us know as we would love to donate in Molly's honor.
@kellyyanghk She squealed when she saw your reply. Her entire 5th grade class is reading it and she's so excited to share the moment with them. Thanks again!
@kellyyanghk daughter is close to finishing Front Desk and can't wait to read Three Keys! As a young Muslim student with immigrant grandparents she appreciates and values your characters strengths and struggles and finds connections with their lives.
@KayeEllen17 As a mother of two I can't even imagine your pain. From one stranger to another I ask God to accept my prayer and all of the others who have asked for Molly's recovery. May you have the strength to continue your fight and I truly hope your beautiful little girl fully heals.
Please. Please. Please. Everyone PRAY for my daughter Molly. She has been in an accident and suffered a brain trauma. She’s unconscious in ICU. Please RT and PRAY 🙏🙏🙏
In case you haven't seen the incredible holiday card submission from Alexandra Brubaker, we wanted to pass it along. Let's hope this "Winter Scene" comes true over the break!
"Sending warm wishes of Peace and Happiness this Holiday Season and into the New Year!"
Why is it that when my students simply say “thank you, Mrs. Z” as they leave my virtual classroom, I tear up? Every single time. Words matter - especially in the middle of a pandemic. Thank YOU students! @YorkD205
@kellyyanghk Front Desk has been a part of the curriculum in my childrens district along with Out Of My Mind as both deal with issues of being inclusive from different perspectives and I'm so glad that our families value these stories as they help promote a positive School atmosphere for all.
@SenorG Great question though other senses and interactions occur when you are in person vs remote. Im truly struggling with not teaching in person. I became a teacher because I love being hands on and active. As a first year teacher I have so many obstacles to overcome but I have hope.
@SenorG Yet I know the anxiety component for many students is real too and I don't want them uncomfortable either. Having them off is problematic and having them on is problematic. I don't think its fair either way as a students needs are not being met in both situations.
@SenorG Unfortunately a good number of students are turning off the cameras so they do not have to remain engaged or are not even present during the lesson. In a classroom they can become distracted and I have the ability to redirect or prompt them. I can't do that if I can't see them.
