@NaughtyDogWorld My favorite moment in part 1 was when Joel had to decide to lie to Ellie about the Fireflies. You can tell how desperately she needed to believe him and how desperately he needed her to believe him.

why isn’t everyone screaming? the ocean is heating faster than scientists thought possible. wildfires are breaking records every year. entire species are vanishing before we even name them. and yet, business as usual. we should be in full-blown emergency mode, but instead, we get “sustainable” fossil fuel ads. wake up. this is collapse.

Remember how fast the Earth started replenishing itself during quarantine??? Yeah.

[Sunrise Movement 🌅 @sunrisemvmt]

This is misleading. What the report actually says is that we must — AND CAN — limit the worst damage by stopping warming fast and declining it to below 1.5°C.

Don't fall for doomer headlines. We can win a livable future, and it's a disgrace that our leaders aren't acting.

PLEASE DONT LOSE YOURSELF TO CLIMATE DESPAIR. To feel that deeply for the planet we call home is beautiful. It means you’re a kind, caring, empathetic person w/a deep well of love for life. We need you in the fight for the future. I know things seem bleak & the UN saying we have passed the point of no return was a gut punch. Feel that emotion & get angry. Stay active. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Climate change is real. Climate grief is real. Don’t lay down your sword when the battle gets intense. Fight.

[𝓐 ⭑ @ayojoestar]

The biggest heartbreak has been watching us sail right past the point of no return for catastrophic climate change without even slowing down.

We didn't even really try.

I feel like it should be bigger news that fibreglass is in IV saline bags in the US.

This isn’t a situation where you might get a little sick.

Fibreglass going directly into your veins will kill you

IV saline is used for almost every medical procedure.

This is unconscionable

I had no idea that the high powered green laser pointers, (which are commonly available on Amazon), can completely fry a Flock camera in like 2 seconds.

Who knew? 🤷

There’s a Nepalese man on the news crying because he has lost his family in these terrible floods.

He says the floods were 10 times worse than even the worst floods they’ve ever seen.

I know people get irritated with people like me going on about climate change, but these are the stakes.

A lot of people are going to die, potentially millions, at worst billions.

I just can’t understand why the media and politicians cannot reflect what the scientists are telling us about the urgency of this moment.

[inshirah 🪻 @moonriseblossom]

I'm sorry but people (white american christians) calling the flooding in nepal a sign from god and/or of the end of times instead of acknowledging it's because of climate change and the US's disproportionately high carbon emissions hurting other countries is enraging me

[Cllr Ben Goren @BanGaoRen]

There's now literally video of the kind of catastrophic mega-scale destruction caused by climate change that we saw in sci-films like 2012 only a decade go. That footage from Tibet is terrifying, apocalyptic for Tibetans.
