Planning, regulatory approvals, un-approvals, finding pilots, negotiating with airport authorities, tracking down ground equipment — @SteveNomadic explains what it takes to move dozens of aircraft into storage on a moment’s notice. https://t.co/u7zxBIqgm5
Man @SteveNomadic, this episosde on the Spirit Airlines aircraft repo operation is really something. Sure, it helps if you love aviation, but this is such a human story, well told. https://t.co/nFBqryV3Ec
If you have any kind of heart for aviation, or just a heart for people that work together under a common dream and aspiration you’ll be moved by this story… Yeah Spirit got a bad rap at times, but the people… I was deeply moved… You will be too! @SteveNomadic@CaptBob_Nomadic
The last 12 mins of this video. Wow. I need a kleenex. Highly encourage watching this bc it’s an important reminder of the real life impacts Spirit’s bankruptcy had on a ton of people and their families.
The last 11-12 ish mins has Spirit’s #1 flight attendant (most seniority in the company) who was there since 1990 came out to see the last Spirit plane leave Atlantic City and airport ops got her on the ramp and beside the runway when they left. For her and many others, Spirit was family.
On this AvTalk, @SteveNomadic joins Ian and Jason to talk about what happens when you suddenly need to move dozens of aircraft in a very short time. What does it take to make sure those aircraft can be legally, safely, and efficiently moved into storage? https://t.co/u7zxBIqgm5
Spirit’s collapse left dozens of bright yellow jets scattered around the country. Picking them up is the job of repo men with a special set of skills. https://t.co/5dUsD3jqL7

The Spirit pilot group is one of the best I’ve ran across over the decades. I’m honored to have worked with many of them over the last week.
If you are an employer, you will find that Spirit pilots have great work ethic, a great sense of humor, and are enjoyable to be around. I can’t say enough good things about them! They have my highest recommendation.
@CaptBob_Nomadic 🇧🇪 Flemish speaker here: it basically tells you're involved in the repo of the aircraft and how previous Spirit pilots are put to work doing this and more heartfelt, how you mentioned "people going through this need closure". It seems you have some fans in the Netherlands 😉
@wearetherace@NobleF1@eddstrawF1 Question: What's holding back the FIA to change the regulations to go from the 50/50 engine and battery setup to pure gasoline engines that are already available in GT3(or better) which can be integrated in the current car dimensions for 2027?
