@indiainpixels 2/2 French (grammar, script and even some vocabulary) is very similar to Italian, but they are considered 2 distinct languages. By their logic, if geographical boundaries were a defining factor, Marwari/ Magadhi/Bhojpuri should be distinct languages, not dialects of Hindi .

@indiainpixels 1/2 The dialect / language debate is very Eurocenric in nature. Technically, the distinction between what is a language vs a dialect is very vague . Just saying, Marwari is way different than Bhojpuri, but it is the same dialect.

It's a free market. Firms would always try reducing their costs by paying less. If they don't find any takers for those jobs at the given salary, they'd have to up the salaries. There are already many takers at this price point, hence no hikes.
