Two family members just had their #Canada visitor visas rejected. They now can’t attend my PhD defence in a few months and we’re pretty bummed out about it.

45 mins later, I got a 902-area code text asking that I pay a UPS invoice. The website it took me to is hosted in Russia. What is going on here?

Porter Airlines regularly emails/texts passengers updates on changes, so why wasn’t I updated re: that airport closure time? Why weren’t passengers warned flight capacity was an issue? And is any info sent out that if you’ve bought a lower fare, you’re the first to go? 5/6

(2/2) He noticed she was having trouble and stopped to help, sticking with them for several minutes until he helped get the chair over the curb. I’m not ashamed to admit I teared up seeing this. Thankful for people like this young man, who remind us there is good out there still.

I saw the nicest thing today on Bell Street. An elderly man in a wheelchair was being pushed by his wife, who struggled with the chair on a curb. A young man holding a skateboard was walking by (1/2)
