��The Tax Office will be given the power to veto people from moving money from a large super fund into a self-managed superannuation fund, under sweeping changes announced by Assistant Treasurer Daniel Mulino on Wednesday.

BREAKING: Labor’s Chris Bowen is about to do something the Constitution never intended: use the corporations power as a wrecking ball to smash Queensland’s residual authority over energy.

Energy is a state power. Full stop. The Commonwealth has no general energy power. Yet Labor is going to force every data centre in Queensland to underwrite new renewables or be locked out, overriding an elected state government that wants a technology-neutral approach and actual community consent.

We live in the Information Age. We are literate. Any of us here can pick up the Holy Quran and read the Hadith.

And beyond that, because we live in this age of interconnectedness, we can take a look at the facts of where Islamic law is implemented, what it looks like for everyone, and typically what it looks like for women.

Saudi Arabia is a country that implements Sharia law.

Women are not allowed to drive. They have male guardians. Their testimony is worth half of that of men.

They are subjected to every possible humiliation that you can think of.

Ayatollah Khomeini, in 1979, with a great deal of public approval, became the Supreme Leader. He implemented Sharia law, Islamic law.

One of the first things that he did, he reduced the age of marriage to nine.

Everywhere where Islamic law is implemented, you have exactly that.

This bill is not serious about terrorism unless it names the ideology driving the threat: radical Islam.

Australia must protect life, property and freedom. This bill risks expanding state power while failing to confront the real security threat.

It’s no wonder Australia’s debt levels are exploding when our own Government is asleep at the wheel.

At the last set of estimates, Senator Babet on my behalf, lodged a set of questions to the ATO asking how they track profits being sent offshore.

This is especially pertinent given the enormous number of jobs that Australian companies have been sending offshore, especially to India.

Capital flight due to tax treaties that reward it has to be stopped.

Unfortunately the ATO tracks none of it. As ATO whistleblower Richard Boyle revealed, they would rather terrorise small businesses owners in Australia rather than go after the big multinationals.

People First is the only party that has an explicit policy to stop capital flight from Australia.

We will lift taxes on profits sent offshore and use those funds to cut taxes on Australian incomes.

We will also end the Indian Mobility and Migration agreement with a view to stop offshoring of jobs to India and other countries.
