@wozaboxa When I was at Benfica, our first day of every season was spent in the hospital getting everything checked, only after being cleared would we start physical testing and preseason. This is also the case in Uzbekistan (where it was actually every 6 months). That’s the way forward.

@wozaboxa They don’t, that’s the issue. English football is physically the most demanding of all countries. Yet the regulation only requires a screening at the ages of 18,20 and 25. Anything more is up to the club. It has to be at least every season.
@wozaboxa We need to create a safer and more regulated environment for athletes in order to possibly avoid other tragedies in sport. This change could reduce the future amount of unexplained deaths in sport and reduce the amount of suffering for families and friends.
@wozaboxa games played today, 50+ in most EFL clubs, the UK must be much more strict if not the strictest with protecting its players, with yearly health checks. Some don’t even get the 6 weeks off due to international duty, the heart is a muscle that needs to rest as much as any other…
