@VIA_Rail I am incredibly disappointed in my current trip. It was impossible to connect to your wifi. Food and drink service was offered only once on a 4.5 hour trip…right at the beginning. Next time I’ll just drive, since I couldn’t even get work done. #viarail
@JBradshaw01 Thank you for sharing. I checked out the EEB site, and I think their work can also be of use for English teachers (me!), and social studies teachers, especially if you look at the 24 terms researchers have raised concerns about.
@TheBrick Can you explain your abhorrent return policy of UNOPENED product? And can you also explain why you use one term (“ready to assemble”) on the receipt but another (“customer assembly product”) in the return policy? And can you also explain the poor customer service?
Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. This year’s theme is Creating Hope Through Action. Here4Hope Wellington County’s life promotion/suicide prevention project encourages you to ACT. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay
Reminder: A decent wage is health. Paid sick leave is health. Overtime pay is health. Safe work conditions is health. Non-precarious employment is health. Benefits is health.
This Labour Day & every day, let's remember that every worker, everywhere, deserves the right to health.
This entire section of the front matter to the grade nine math curriculum appears to have been removed.
Why?
Because some far right politicians got upset.
Why are they driving #OntEd curriculum?
YOU should care about this deletion, even if you don’t teach math.
Things I have heard this year,
“I can’t get covid now, my kids have ISUs” (after a positive result)
“I really hope I don’t deliver early, I know my kids best & need to write their IEPs.”
“I’m trying to time my pregnancy so it doesn’t disrupt my students’ semester”

Ontario 2021: It's absolutely wild to me that I log into Twitter & search around to figure out if my elementary teacher husband & our three school-aged kids will be heading back to school in person at some point because we have no other way of knowing. #OntEdReality#OntEd
It's interesting to see pundits who endlessly disparage teachers write about how critically important schools are for kids to thrive. Who, pray tell, is responsible for making these institutions such a positive force in children's lives?
