Yesterday, during the Alumni Meet at our campus, we proudly launched the “Own Your Bi-Cycle” Initiative, a meaningful step towards promoting health, sustainability, and an eco-friendly campus culture.

We are delighted to share that more than 50 faculty & staff members have already started commuting to the university by bicycle, embracing a healthier lifestyle while contributing to a greener tomorrow.

This initiative draws inspiration from the visionary appeal of our Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi to reduce the usage of petrol and diesel, along with the continuous encouragement and guidance of our Hon’ble Chairman Sir @MPNaveenJindal towards a Health-First & Environment-First approach.

What began as a movement among faculty and staff is soon expected to grow across the entire OPJU community. In the coming days, we aim to extend this initiative to our students as well, with a vision of transforming the OPJU campus into a fully bicycle-friendly and vehicle-free campus.

@OPJUniversity successfully inaugurated the 22nd Bootcamp on “Drone Technology: Concepts, Design & Implementation”, organized in association with the @NIELITIndia NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ELECTRONICS & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (NIELIT) Bhubaneswar (Government of India).

The inaugural session was held on 09 February 2026 at the EE Seminar Hall, OPJU, in the august presence of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, @DrRDPatidar, Registrar Dr. Anurag Vijaywargiya, esteemed representatives from NIELIT Bhubaneswar Mr. Anjan Joshi, Mr. Md Inam, industry experts & Business Development officer, SSD Jindal Steel Ltd., Coordinator of the Boot Camp @sarojbig, faculty members, and participating students.
The bootcamp aims to enhance technical competence and practical exposure in emerging drone technologies, aligning with national initiatives such as Digital India and skill development in advanced engineering domains.
