सुप्रीम कोर्ट के साथी वकीलों के फ़ोन आ रहे हैं जो आज की सुनवाई में शामिल थे। मौसम दिल्ली का ही नहीं कोर्ट रूम का भी बदला हुआ था। बाहर हल्की बारिश भीतर धुआँ धुआँ। आज वकीलों का स���ूह जैसे हूटिंग कर रहा ��ा माननीय जजों को कई बार टोकना पड़ा कि शोर ना करें।ऐसा बरसों बाद हुआ है।

वरिष्ठ वकील इंदिरा जय सिंह शेरनी की तरह पत्रकारों, आंदोलनकारियों के साथ खड़ी थी। तुषार मेहता सरकार के पक्ष में और पत्रकारों के विरोध में उल्टे सीधे तर्क प्रस्तुत कर रहे थे। कपिल सिब्बल बार बार जजों के चेहरे को देखते हुए और बदलते मौसम को समझते हुए इंदिरा जय सिंह की ओर देखकर मन ही मन आह्लादित हो रहे थे।

दिल्ली पुलिस के व��ील के पास बचाव का कोई रास्ता नहीं था। तुषार मेहता के स्वर में स्वर मिलाते जज आज कोर्ट रूम में नहीं दिखे।हड़बड़ी में या कहें घबराहट में तुषार मेहता दो बार वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता गोपाल एस को श्री गोपाल सुब्रमण्यम कह कर बुला रहे थे तो उन्होंने कहा मैं वो नहीं हूँ।

Ex-SC judge Justice Abhay Oka told BBC Marathi that the Supreme Court must revisit its May 2026 verdict upholding SIR.

His points :
-> The law allows revision of one constituency at a time, not all of them together.
-> Deleting a voter just for not filling ECI's enumeration form is "illegal," and no such rule exists in the 1950 Act or the 1960 Rules.
-> The law says a name can be removed only after a show cause notice and a hearing.
-> Changing Form 6 and Form 8 is a job for Parliament and the Centre, not ECI.
-> And ECI has no power to decide who is a citizen of India.

So what did ECI do?
It skipped the notice, skipped the hearing, made up a form and cut the names.

Bro, imagine your housing society cuts your water.
No notice. No hearing.
Just: "you didn't fill our new form, which no bylaw mentions."
You ask the committee where that rule is written.
They say: "We decide who's a resident here."

That's what ECI did with your VOTE.
