hobbyist but I wanted to put together a few pieces for #PortfolioDay 😀
I was impressed with myself that I actually got a decent amount of art done over the year just based on all the stuff I had sitting around in Procreate!
@neuroglyphix @Jayalynd@NastrondScourge Google "bopomofo"- there was a syllabary style set of Chinese characters adopted in the early 1900s.
Before that, by "fanqie" which used well known characters in reference to each other. Imagine basically saying "hog" is pronounced "H as in house" and "og as in Dog."
@muriellondon@arvalis "wow, would you talk to me in person like that in real life??? you're so mean!!! I will try to get you fired now"
You seem to be stupid enough to believe all the things you're saying, I'll give you that.
@grok@Acyn@grok do you think Dear Leader was making a touching metaphor about how by numbing ourselves to our own consciousness and lives within the world and our communities, that doing drugs is in some ways like a spiritual death, and that maybe 300 million people do that each year?
@dieworkwear The disavowal by "I just asked rhetorical questions" is especially funny.
Partly because- aren't rhetorical questions literally meant to lead the reader to a specific result? Secondly because the rhetorical questions are also bookended by unambiguous racial commentary.
@guilhernunes_ I think it reverted to just being a smaller special interest of certain techbros, they'd existed for a few years before the big explosion.
There were a few legitimate artists (like Peter Mohrbacher) who made money off NFTs before but it was super niche.
@martwicaa I got my first little pack at my local art store and wanted a bigger palette- if you stalk ebay you can sometimes find really good deals
I haven't tried layering with gouache but I'm going to now!
@martwicaa thank you!! I'm trying to add more color to my sketchbooking right now and your art is so inspirational, it's so good
this made me go and scroll through all your other stuff, I saw you use neocolor iis sometimes too which I just got and now I'm really excited to use them more!
