To save the country & the planet, we must elect governments that will ensure minimum 3% organic content in agricultural soil. Only then there will be large-scale soil regeneration with rich eco-biodiversity & natural sequestering of carbon. –Sg #SaveSoil https://t.co/HCigjoq5h5

Dung beetles are fascinating little creatures!
These beetles play a crucial role in breaking down and recycling dung into the soil, allowing plants to access the nutrients in the dung.

The Madhya Pradesh government sets a world record for planting the maximum number of trees within 24 hours in Indore. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav received the certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records.
Like any other biological system, living soils operate in a delicate balance and are susceptible to “death.” Unsustainable industrial farming methods upset this equilibrium, which results in unhealthy soil.
Degraded soils are subject to erosion, removing the productive topsoil layer and becoming less effective. This vicious cycle can be broken by improving the percentage of soil organic matter in the soil.
Soil organic matter refers to the organic components present in the soil, such as decaying plant and animal residues, humus, and living organisms. Increasing the percentage of soil organic matter in the soil can help improve soil structure, water-holding capacity, nutrient availability, and overall soil health, thereby breaking the cycle of soil degradation.
