Jamiat-ul-Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil has submitted a representation requesting that procurement of medicines be based not merely on the lowest bid (L1), but on rigorous quality assessment, technical evaluation, and sample-based scrutiny, as was practiced earlier.

We humbly urge your kind intervention to ensure that only quality-assured medicines are supplied to healthcare institutions across Ladakh in the larger interest of public health and patient welfare.

According to the recently issued notice for returning Hajj pilgrims, only a limited amount of baggage (hand baggage up to 7 kg and check-in baggage up to 5 kg) is allowed to be carried on the flight. The remaining luggage, up to the allowed entitlement, will be transported separately by road from Ahmedabad to Srinagar, with collection arranged later from Haj House Bemina.

This arrangement is causing serious concern and inconvenience for pilgrims. After completing the sacred journey of Hajj, pilgrims naturally expect a smooth, dignified, and hassle-free return journey along with their belongings. However, separating passengers from their luggage creates unnecessary delay, uncertainty, and hardship.

The situation is particularly difficult for pilgrims from Ladakh. Many of them reside in remote areas nearly 600 km away from Srinagar. For them, traveling back again to Srinagar just to collect their baggage is not only physically exhausting but also financially and logistically burdensome.

It must also be noted that pilgrims often carry essential personal belongings and items required for immediate use upon arrival. Delayed access to luggage adds to their difficulties after a long and tiring journey.

In light of these concerns, we strongly urge a reconsideration of this decision. It is essential that pilgrims and their baggage are transported together by air and reach Srinagar on the same day, ensuring dignity, comfort, and proper facilitation for all.

#Haj_Committee_of_India is requested to urgently review this arrangement. We also appeal to the Union Territory of #Ladakh Administration to intervene and ensure that the concerns of #Ladakhi_pilgrims are properly addressed.

A powerful youth-led initiative by @JUIAK_Ladakh Jamiat-ul-Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil-Ladakh (#JUIAKL) to serve humanity, respond to disasters, and stand with the community in times of need. Trained, dedicated, and ready — for every emergency, for every life.

Jamiat ul Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil Ladakh formally launched the Al-Mahdi (A.S) Scouts Disaster Response Force, a voluntary youth initiative aimed at strengthening community-based disaster response and public service in the region.
Executive Councillor Aga Syed Mujtaba attended the programme as the Chief Guest, while Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC Kargil Rakesh Kumar (IAS) was the Guest of Honour. SSP Kargil Nitin Yadav (IPS) participated as the Special Guest. Among others present were Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, ASP Kargil, councillors, religious scholars and members of civil society.

In the wake of a devastating snow avalanche at the Zojila Axis, the dedicated volunteers of Ansar-ul-Mehdi (Al-Mehdi Scouts) and Al-Reza Health Care & Research Foundation of @JUIAK_Ladakh Jamiat-ul-Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil swiftly mobilized to join the rescue and relief operations.

Battling extreme weather and treacherous conditions, they stood shoulder to shoulder with rescue teams, embodying courage, unity, and an unwavering commitment to humanity. Several individuals have been reported critically injured, and tragically, some lives have been lost.

In these testing moments, their selfless service reflects the true spirit of compassion and sacrifice. May the Almighty grant swift recovery to the injured and eternal peace to the departed souls.

The Hilal Committee of @JUIAK_Ladakh Jamiat-ul-Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil-Ladakh, made arrangements for moon sighting at various locations across the district. However, due to cloudy weather conditions, no confirmed sighting of the moon was reported from any location. Additionally, no verified reports of moon sighting were received from neighboring regions sharing the same horizon.

In light of this, Jamiat-ul-Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil announces that Friday, 20 March 2026, will be the 30th of Ramadan, and Eid al-Fitr will be observed on Saturday, 21st March 2026.

A high-level delegation of @JUIAK_Ladakh Jamiat-ul-Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil, led by its President Hujjat-ul-Islam Sheikh @NazirMehdi_ Mohammadi, met with the Representative of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Dr. Abdul Majid Hakim Elahi.

The delegation expressed heartfelt condolences on the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Syed Ali Hussaini Khamenei (R.A), and condemned and also conveyed deep sympathy over the war imposed on Iran by the United States and Israel the usurper, and also conveyed deep sympathy for the martyrs of Iran — particularly the innocent schoolgirls martyred in the Minab school attack, along with senior military officers, other personnel and citizens.

Ayatollah Dr. Hakim Elahi appreciated and thanked the people of Kargil, including the President, executive members of Jamiat-ul-Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil, and the wider community of Kargil, for organizing mourning processions, protest rallies, condolence gatherings, and for expressing solidarity with the people of Iran.
