SADC representative elected to the 14th Executive Committee, were inaugurated on Friday, 30/ 01/ 26 in Accra, Ghana for the 2026 - 2029 term of office.

This marked a significant turning point for the region as it is diversely represented in both the Sectretariat and Executive.

Sous le haut patronage de Son Excellence Monsieur le Président @JDMahama et sous la supervision du Ministère ghanéen des Affaires étrangères ( @GhanaMFA ), s’est tenue à Accra, au Ghana, la cérémonie officielle d’investiture du nouveau Comité exécutif de l’Union panafricaine des étudiants (AASU), élu lors du 14ᵉ Congrès électif.

J’ai l’honneur d’y représenter la République démocratique du Congo, mon pays, en qualité de membre du Comité exécutif pour l’Afrique centrale, pour un mandat de quatre (4) ans, au sein de cette nouvelle équipe composée de 18 membres.

C’est un honneur, mais surtout une grande responsabilité, celle de participer à l’instance décisionnelle chargée de la conception des politiques et programmes éducatifs, et de porter la voix ainsi que les aspirations de la jeunesse estudiantine de la région de l’Afrique centrale, tout en valorisant l’image de la République démocratique du Congo.

L’All-Africa Students Union (AASU) est la principale organisation continentale qui représente, unit et défend les étudiants à travers l’Afrique.

Fondée en 1972, l’AASU est née lorsque des représentants étudiants de dix pays africains se sont réunis à l’Université des sciences et technologies Kwame Nkrumah de Kumasi, au Ghana, à l’occasion du premier congrès de l’Union panafricaine des étudiants. Inspiré par l’Organisation de l’unité africaine, ce congrès visait à unifier les étudiants du continent dans l’esprit du panafricanisme.

L’AASU est aujourd’hui reconnue par les Nations Unies pour son action en faveur des droits des étudiants et pour l’élargissement de l’accès à l’éducation en Afrique.
