SAS Foundation Empowers Kwara Children with Launch of 'Project Tutored' Second Edition
The Saleeman Adedoyin Saleeman (SAS) Foundation, in partnership with the Evergreen Initiative and SheBuildLives, has officially announced the return of Project Tutored ’26 for its highly anticipated second edition in Ilorin, Kwara State.
This joint initiative is designed to expand access to quality education, digital literacy, and practical vocational skills for children from underserved communities, helping them build a foundation for a brighter future.
To kick off this year’s program, a delegation led by Summer School Coordinator Saheed Saliu conducted a community engagement visit to meet with local leaders and key stakeholders. The visit aimed to strengthen grassroots collaboration, mobilize community support, and ensure the seamless execution of the project from the ground up.
Building on the success of its inaugural outing, this edition is set to provide over 100 children with free academic coaching and hands-on training in critical 21st-century competencies. The curriculum features specialized courses in digital literacy and leadership development, alongside practical vocational crafts such as bead making, shoe making, and soap production, among other engaging learning experiences.
Originally conceived by the Evergreen Initiative and deployed across several Nigerian states, the program continues to grow in Kwara under the leadership and sponsorship of the Founder and Chairman of the SAS Foundation, Engineer Saleeman Adedoyin Saleeman.
Engineer Saleeman’s core vision remains making high-quality education and digital opportunities accessible to every child, regardless of socioeconomic background.
The intensive summer program is scheduled to commence on Monday, 27th July, at the Government Day Junior Secondary School, located in Oke Aluko, Taiwo, Ilorin.
To ensure the success of the initiative, the organizers are actively calling on volunteers, donors, and partners to support this impact-driven cause. Members of the public who wish to make enquiries, donate, or volunteer can reach out to the team directly via 09162292940 or 09160728101.
By uniting community leaders, enthusiastic volunteers, and dedicated partners, the second edition of Project Tutored reinforces the SAS Foundation’s ongoing commitment to nurturing young minds and investing in the sustainable development of Kwara's youth.
Today marks a historic milestone for the Ilorin Emirate as Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki is formally turbaned as the 13th Chief Imam of Ilorin.
I heartily congratulate him on this well-deserved honour and pray that Almighty Allah grants him wisdom, strength, good health, and divine guidance to lead the Muslim Ummah with sincerity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the teachings of Islam.
I also congratulate Mai Martaba, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, and the entire Ilorin Emirate on this memorable occasion. May this new chapter strengthen our unity, deepen our faith, and usher in enduring peace, progress, and abundant blessings for the Emirate and the Muslim Ummah. Ameen.

#ThrowbackThursday: A Foundation Rooted in Wisdom and Community 👑
Six months ago, our Founder and Chairman, Engr. Saleeman Adedoyin Saleeman, had the distinct honor of visiting His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.
This memorable visit served as a powerful prelude to the SAS Foundation’s community impact programmes. Reflecting on the encounter, Engr. Saleeman continues to draw inspiration from His Royal Highness’s fatherly prayers and wise counsel. The Emir’s charge to remain deeply connected to home remains a driving force behind our mission to elevate education, youth empowerment, and sustainable development in Kwara State.
