@PMCPune The exact source is difficult to pinpoint as the smoke spreads, but I’ve seen burning near Eden House Union Living and other nearby areas. Please arrange early-morning inspections between 5–7 AM to identify the source and take action.

[Samiksha Pattnaik @SashBrownie]

@PMCPune Daily open burning between 5–7 AM near Comfort Nest, Old Baner–Balewadi Road, is becoming a serious menace. The smoke affects senior citizens and people with breathing issues. Please investigate urgently and stop this health hazard.

🚨 VET AND PET HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES ALLEGEDLY CAUGHT ILLEGALLY RELOCATING DOGS!

Vet and Pet Hospital (https://t.co/ndcVDBpUM7) is a veterinary hospital and a registered NGO!

Its employees have been accused of accepting bribes from residents of residential colonies to illegally relocate dogs to ORR, allegedly resulting in dog deaths!

Today, video footage was reportedly released that appears to show employees involved in relocating dogs. The footage raises serious concerns, but the allegations of bribery, illegal relocation and resulting dog deaths require independent investigation and verification.

@MC_Cyberabad @cyberabadpolice @MRAMESHIPS @PMOIndia @revanth_anumula: Please take immediate action, investigate the footage and allegations, and, if the violations are established, shut down the veterinary clinic and recommend cancellation of the NGO's registration!

@ISKCONPune @gauri_maulekhi Plz help address this ISKCON NVCC Pune. Cows are tied with short ropes, unable to turn their heads or sit down, for 3 hrs in morning & 3 hrs in evening so devotees can touch for blessings. This isn't practised at ISKCON abroad, how is it legal & acceptable here?

[Samiksha Pattnaik @SashBrownie]

The most absurd thing I’ve ever seen. At @ISKCONPune, cows are tied with short ropes so devotees can touch them for blessings.

I’ve visited ISKCON in New Zealand and never seen this. Have rituals made us forget compassion for the very beings we worship? #AnimalDignity

[Samiksha Pattnaik @SashBrownie]

@ISKCONPune When I raised my concern, I was told, “You may not like it, but many other devotees want to touch the cows.”

Just because many people want something doesn't make it right.

True devotion should never come at the cost of an animal's freedom. @ISKCONPune please lead by example.

At @ISKCONPune, cows are tied with short ropes, barely able to move their heads, so devotees can touch them for blessings.

Inside the temple, devotees cannot touch deities to seek blessings. Yet outside, it's considered acceptable to restrain living animals for the same purpose?

[Samiksha Pattnaik @SashBrownie]

@ISKCONPune @ISKCONPune , please lead by example. Let devotion mean compassion, not control.

@ISKCONPune Inside the temple, devotees cannot simply touch the deities to seek blessings. Yet outside, it is considered acceptable to restrain living animals for the same purpose?
I've visited ISKCON in New Zealand, but never seen this. Why follow different standards abroad and in India?

Perhaps the most heartbreaking part of an elephant’s suffering is not only what is done to them. It is 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁. 𝗪𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁!

A magnificent being restrained. Controlled. Passed from one generation of human hands to another. And somewhere along the way, what should have shocked our conscience became familiar enough to defend.

But familiarity does not make suffering acceptable. Longevity does not make injustice sacred. And repetition does not make something right.

Elephants remember. They grieve. They form profound relationships. They have needs, desires and emotional worlds of their own.

@liam_fallen @Google @verge But why?

[Samiksha Pattnaik @SashBrownie]

My sister needs a stem cell donor too. Register below and help save previous lives. 🙏🏾

Raising awareness is crucial. We need government support and initiatives to build a national stem cell donor database, just like blood donation drives. @MoHFW_INDIA

[Samiksha Pattnaik @SashBrownie]

Thousands of blood cancer patients in India are in dire need of a compatible stem cell donor. Lack of awareness and govt support mean we lack a large database of donors, who can save precious lives.

Pls register below and help save a life 🙏🏾

Honoured to present my research with India's ASHAs at #ICA2023 pre-conference, Toronto. Despite not being able to attend in person, I am grateful for the chance to present my work at a global stage.

@SoojungKim15 @icahdq Would have loved to meet up. I am a digital data analyst at New Zealand Herald and a PhD scholar in media and communication at Massey University, NZ. I'll be presenting my paper at the ICA'23 pre-conference, although virtually this time ☹️.

@MushtaqBilalPhD @SHIT110011 What's the demerit of using ChatGPT for academic grammar and language check?

[Samiksha Pattnaik @SashBrownie]

@MushtaqBilalPhD Any free AI tool for grammar check and making sentences crisp? I know ChatGPT can also help but is there any other tool?
