It will take separate legislation — passed by the Republican controlled Legislature and signed by the Democratic governor — before a penny is spent to address "forever chemicals." https://t.co/kksZ7VdqDy

@MikeSington In the states bordering the gulf, it could be related to the BP Oil Spill. Nonprofits and scientists have documented harm from the spill and toxic oil dispersants that were sprayed onto it and nearby communities. Cancer clusters and rare diseases abound in this region.

@BitterWaterBlue@aboutgeology Hey Andrew! Great pics. I'm a journalism student at SFSU and I've been covering an environmental and sustainability beat for one of my classes. I stumbled across your website a few weeks ago and found it very interesting. What is the best way to get in touch outside of Twitter?
@blindronnie1 @Sailing_LaVaga Whoah, I’m definitely not “attacking“ them. I’m just stating what I view as an ethical dilemma. I am also genuinely curious as to why they need to push for more viewer support considering how much they currently make. It’s a fair question.
@Sailing_LaVaga On the other hand, you provide worthy and useful content deserving of compensation. The money situation presents a dilemma that I’m sure you have considered because it’s obvious that you care about your impact — and that’s great. Keep having the conversation!
@Sailing_LaVaga I love your content and self-awareness, but I sometimes wonder why you still ask for more viewer support. Conservative estimates put your monthly earnings at $45,000. Maybe you’re paying off your boat and saving for your kid, but there is no way most viewers make close to that.
Per the most recent operating report of Insight Terminal Solutions (which hopes to operate a coal export terminal in Oakland but is in bankruptcy court) it paid its Oakland lobbyist Greg McConnell $8,700 and PR blogger Zennie Abraham $5,000 in November.
