Regression, degeneration and decay are normal in nature and also real in socities and cultures If upanishads were pristine knowledge they needed brahmanas for interpretation. Then puranas were needed with stories to bring the knowledge to the common folks as populations increased and people spent more time laboring for survival. Stories remained and literally followed rather than understanding the symbolic messages. Buddhism, jainism came as a reform but with perversion of the idea of ahimsa with unnatural twist. There is no absolute ahimsa in nature. Then came sankaracharya with Advaita that basically erased buddhism in Bharat. Eventhough Adi shankara propunded Advaita he preached to read bhagavadgeeta, wrote stotras for deities, offered guidance how to run temples. People needed to worhip and pray so came Ramanuja and madhvacharya to fill the gaps. All these steps to bring spirituality to the common working people who are not into literary discourse. Dogmatic monotheistic religions built on zoroasttrian faith were born in arabian deserts. These had advantages of simple commandments that appeled to the masses and give physical power to the followers to invade, conquer and enjoy the foils of war in the name of their God. Islam with promise of promiscuous sex here on earth and sex and alcohol in heaven inspired more people to invade and conquer.
We are now at this juncture in the history of humans.
There are many social evils in muslim societies like halaa, child marriage, multiple firkas even though it is a young religion. No wonder hinduism being thousands of year old has social evils but it is still vibrant thanks to its pluralistic nature and forward thinking of ancient rishis who understood not only human strengths but also human weaknesses. With its open architecture sanatana dharma wii rejuvenate in this social media age. Hindus should organize with hindu identity not against something but for their heritage. Numbers matter in democracy because votes count to have a government of your liking.

Mesopotamia was never the cradle of civilisation. India was.

I spent forty years in international shipping, not academia. When I began researching the history of maritime trade, I had no orthodoxy to defend. I followed the evidence, and it kept arriving in the same place: the Indian subcontinent.

Nineteenth century archaeologists dug in Mesopotamia because the climate preserved artefacts, the biblical sources pointed them there, and the Ottomans allowed the excavations. That is the entire basis for the myth of Mesopotamia as "the cradle of civilisation."

Nobody applied the same rigour to India. Mohenjo-daro was not discovered until 1922. By then the narrative had already hardened.

What was actually there was the largest civilisation of the ancient world. Three hundred cities. Fifty thousand people in each, by 2600 BC. Two thirds of them stood on the banks of the Sarasvati, the central and greatest of the seven rivers described in the Rig Veda, flowing down from the Himalayas before the river vanished entirely by 1900 BC. The Vedic kings claimed territory stretching "sea to sea," from Afghanistan to Maharashtra, some 1.5 million square miles, against Egypt's 13,000. A dock at Lothal built to handle thirty ships of sixty tons, unmatched in Europe for four thousand years. When it was first excavated, it was recorded as a bathing pool.

When the scale became impossible to dismiss, the theory was not corrected. It was replaced with a story of pale-skinned nomads from the steppe who supposedly arrived around 1500 BC and brought civilisation with them. There is no evidence. The chronology doesn't work. The Vedas describe no invasion.

In 2019 a Harvard-led genetic study revived the claim, and the press reported it as confirmation. It was not. The same study found the builders of these cities were indigenous. The Sarasvati river that the Rig Veda described had already dried up before these newcomers arrived. What the study also found is that a small group of men, arriving after the Sarasvati had already dried up, interbred with the existing population and left a genetic signature. That is all.

So, where they chose to dig was mostly an accident of climate and access. The Aryan invasion theory was constructed because an Indian civilisation that owed nothing to Caucasians was a fact the late nineteenth century could not accommodate.

Examples include topics like work,occupation, job, controlling the senses, leadership, habits..l will post one topic and if you like will post other topics.

Karma (duty, action, activity, work, Occupation, profession, job, motion, effects of previous actions.....) The interpretation depends on the context.

नियतम् कुरु कर्मत्वं

शरीर यात्रापि च ते न प्रसिध्येत् अकर्मण: (३:८)

You perform prescribed duties. Working is better than being idle.
Even livelihood is not possible without working. (3:8)

Do not quit the job because it is not perfect. All endeavors have imperfections Naturally, like fire is surrounded by smoke. (18:48)

It is better to engage in one’s own occupation that conforms to his natural dharma even it is performed imperfectly, than to accept another’s occupation performed perfectly. Duties prescribed according to one’s nature are not sinful (18:47)

सबुद्धिमान् मनुष्येषु

Things we need to accomplish:

A mission(अधिषटानं) A responsible and competent person (कर्ता), various different tools ( करणं), many different processes (चेष्ठा). Behind all these we need God (दैवं). (18:14)

स्वे स्वे कर्मणि अभिरत: संसिद्धिं लभते नर:
स्व कर्म निरतः सिद्धिं यदा विन्दति तत् श्रुणु। (१८:४५)

immersing yourself in the work you are passionate about brings success. Engaged in your own duty and attain perfection. Each person By performing his own work deligently attains perfection (18:45)

यत: प्रवृत्तिर्भूतानाम
येन सर्वमिदं ततम्
स्वकर्मणा तमभ्यर्च
सिद्धिं विन्दति मानव: (18:46)

By worshipping through performing his own work, who is the source of all beings and who is all-pervading, a man can attain perfection.(18:46)

स्वभावजेन कौन्तेय निबद्ध: स्वेन कर्मणा
कर्तुम न इच्छसि यन्मोहात् करिष्यसि अवश: अपि तत्। (१८:६०)

Under illusion if you decline the actions compelled by the work born of your own nature, you will be forced to do the same work involuntarily (18:60)

न कर्मणां अनारम्भान् नैष्कर्म्यम् पुरुष: अश्नुते
न च सन्यासनात् एव सिद्धिम् समधिगच्छति। (३:४)

Not by merely abstaining from work can one achieve freedom from reaction, nor by renunciation alone can one attain perfection.(3:4)

त्यक्त्वा कर्मफला संगम् नित्य तृप्त: निराश्रय:
कर्मणि अभि प्रवृत्तोपि नैव किन्चित करोति स: (४:२०)

Abandoning all attachment to the results of his activities, ever satisfied and independent, he performs non-fruitive action, although engaged in all kinds of undertakings.(4:20)

यदृच्छा लाभ सन्तुष्टो द्वन्द्वातीतो विमत्सर:
समः सिद्ध अवसिद्धौ च कृत्वापि न निबध्यते। (४:२२)

He who is satisfied with gain which comes of its own accord, who is free from duality and does not envy, who is steady in both success and failure, is never entangled, although performing actions.(4:22)

ईश्वर: सर्व भूतानाम् हृद्देशे अर्जुन तिष्ठति
भ्रामयन् सर्व भूतानि यन्त्र आरूढानि मायया। (१८:६१)

Eeswara is sitting in everyone’s heart, and is directing the wanderings of all living entities through maaya, as if seated on a machine and driving it. (18:61)
