@ComradeTeja Future proofing the methods we have is necessary to have better way of living. We don't know where we're moving towards. So having virtual infrastructure is very much needed than physical infrastructure for offline mode of education.

Even we students don't like to have online mode just like that. But we can't change the fate of this pandemic. 3rd wave in India is guaranteed. For the purpose of health, shifting to online classes temporarily is better.

Covid cases are on a rise across all over India. Almost no covid precautionary protocols followed in my University (SASTRA Univ, Trichy-Tanjore). Please stop operation in offline and get into online mode of education.

Covid precautionary practices are not followed properly here in @SastraUniv. And I know it's difficult to make students follow it all the times. Let's move to online mode of education by sending students back home

Sadly schools and colleges may need to again move online for the next 8 weeks or so or until the #Omicron wave subsides. Remember that children are not vaccinated yet and Omicron does affect them perhaps more than earlier strains. That will be the right decision to make.

2. Very busy canteens and hostel mess without masks.
3. Crowded places.
4. Gatherings inside hostels.
5. No checking of temperature and SpO2 of students.
6. Many have symptoms but no testing.
7. Few got covid and taken away but not identified traces.

Are you educated saying "give soln or be part of it"?

My University (@SastraUniv) thinks fever, cough, sore throat, tiredness & loss of taste and smell are mostly due to seasonal transitions and fluctuations in weather without testing people if they have Covid or not.
Many have symptoms yet no precautions.

Covid precautionary guidelines are not followed in SASTRA University.

Few studies show Omicron multiplies in the throat and 7 times more transmissible.
Many SASTRA University (@SastraUniv) students have throat discomfort issues, cough, cold & feverish symptoms. Around 30+ students got Covid & no precautions taken or informed.
