distribution could end up being one of the biggest competitive advantages in AI
as models get cheaper and open-source alternatives improve, i expect customer retention and distribution to matter a lot more
OpenAI has already built massive consumer adoption, which creates opportunities to monetize beyond subscriptions through things like advertising
the economics of AI labs are still evolving, but i think the value of owning the customer relationship is being underestimated
.@EricBalchunas told me his mom called Bitcoin “funny money from space.”
He still only recommends a 3% allocation, which in @saylor terms means you need 97 better ideas, so I asked him why.

13. Someone running a big consumer company told me the next fight is over memory. The model that remembers the most about you wins, and the smartest model matters less than people think.
For anyone who is either a fan of vaccines, or a critic of vaccines but open-minded to the idea that vaccines *could* be great if they were made with a more open-source open-science and public-spirited approach, I highly recommend checking out PopVax.

If given the choice between large State with closed borders and generous handouts, or small state with open borders and no handouts, I'd choose the later every day.
Immigrants from anywhere, so long as they get no handouts and are not permitted to violate private property, are little threat to anyone. And the immigrant that violates property is no worse than the citizen who does the same.
In America, it's white citizens in DC who do the vast majority of the looting, and who cause the vast majority of harm to the country and its people.
Because the scale of the State is so large, it necessarily invites special interest groups of all manner to organize and struggle for benefits. The danger of these factions over time, which the Founders wrote about explicitly, grows in proportion to state size. Identity politics (just a more contemporary name for such factions), which is wholly disintegrating any national concept of the people of America, is less a consequence of immigrants than of the game theory of an ever-growing state that dishes out loot to whomever demands it.
Property prices in and around DC is a much more damning indictment of modern America than any perceived border issue. It is not the barbarians at the gates but the kleptocrats within which most endangers this country.
If you want to deport people, start with Nancy Pelosi.

Plutus has a new maintainer. @MidgardLabsHQ takes it over from IO Labs, a team that already audits and writes Plutus contracts and contributes to Plutarch and Aiken. Plutus is the fifth core function to move to an independent specialist team, after Daedalus, Mithril, ledger development and platform engineering.
