The charges Mr. Ver faces are absurd: If you attempt to fully pay your taxes, supplying your accountants all the relevant information and instructing them to adhere to the law, you are not guilty of “tax evasion.” And if you send a return you believe to be complete through the mail, you are not guilty of “mail fraud.”

Roger Ver is a political prisoner who faces 109 years in prison for crimes he clearly did not commit. The reason is as obvious as it is infuriating: his perspective on cryptocurrency and federal abuse of power are a threat to the tyrants who have highjacked our system and wish to continue unopposed.

No one understands these forces better than @realDonaldTrump, who has faced them head on. President Trump should think carefully about the nature of the opposition to a pardon for Mr. Ver.

The era of lawfare will not be over until Roger Ver is a free man. No tax paying citizen is immune to the attack he faces. Please, Mr. President, end this nightmare for Roger, and for all of us.
