Dear Elon,
The online education, digital payments, and small businesses going global you speak of are already happening in India on dirt-cheap internet.
Jio revolutionized cheap internet back in 2016. The price per GB of data crashed from ₹228 to ₹8, shooting monthly usage from under 2 GB to 40 GB+ and turning connectivity from a luxury into a daily utility for hundreds of millions.
India’s internet sector isn't a damsel in distress waiting to be saved by a savior in orbit. That said, we still welcome competition. So drop the sarcasm and go finish your security clearances so Indians can actually choose whether they want affordable ground data or a shiny space toy.
Public taunts won't skip the line. Pfizer tried forcing its way into the Indian market during COVID era using the same playbook, bypassing mandatory protocols and leaning on public pressure through influencers. It didn't work then, and it won't work now.
I'm sure the Delhi govt will soon order a structural audit of all old buildings.
That’s just how the sarkari system works. Pul gir gaya, order bridge audit. Aag lag gayi, order fire audit. School ki chhat gir gayi, order school structural audit. Dawai se bachhe mar gaye, order pharma companies audit. Prevention ka system hi nahi hai. Sarkari kaam balidaan maangta hai.
But the irony is, kaam balidaan ke baad bhi nahi hota. All these knee-jerk audit drives become yet another opportunity for the sarkari naukars to earn more. "Oopar se pressure hai" bol kar they demand more and let the defaulters continues to operate unabated.
Give basic road safety training to your drivers @dtchq_delhi
Rule number 1- Do not jump red light.
Your buses are absolute headache for commuters. Stricter monitoring needed @dtptraffic
Genuine question:
Why can't Indian highways be smooth? They always feel uneven, bumpy, undulating. Even on flyovers along NHs, you can feel every expansion joint under your car. Many times, the car hits a sudden vertical bump out of nowhere, usually at the beginning of a flyover, and the impact is so hard that the wipers come on.
Is it due to soil conditions, lack of technology, engineering constraints, or simply corruption?
“Why are you crying about the re-exam? It’s not like you’ll forget everything you studied in a few weeks. If you are a good student, you can study again and still score well.”
Well, that’s not how things work. Competitive examinations are not merely tests of knowledge, but also tests of timing, mental conditioning, emotional stability, and peak performance achieved after months or years of disciplined preparation. Serious students structure their entire routine around one examination date, carefully managing sleep, revision cycles, stress levels, mock tests, and mental sharpness to perform at their absolute best on that particular day.
When an exam is cancelled despite their honest effort, they are forced to recreate the same level of focus and intensity again, which is mentally exhausting and usually impossible with the same efficiency.
The hardest-working students are affected the most because they invest the greatest emotional and mental energy into preparation. After the first exam, many experience burnout, fatigue, reduced concentration, emotional numbness, and loss of momentum. Even if their knowledge remains intact, their sharpness may decline during the re-exam.
Most damaging of all, paper leaks weaken a sincere student’s faith in merit itself. When students realize that even years of hard work cannot protect them from systemic failures caused by others’ dishonesty, it creates frustration, helplessness, and distrust toward institutions.
This is why a leak-proof exam is non-negotiable, the bare minimum that can be done for hard working students.
@NTA_Exams There is an urgent need for radical reform. Not acceptable at all. People want transparency and need to know how it happened! Thoroughly incompetent
Pathetic after-sales service and zero accountability. Very disappointed with Carrier. Shame @CarrierMideaInd. Do not reply with ‘regret inconvenience’. Do the needful asap.
20 days. Endless excuses. No resolution. Got a @CarrierMideaInd AC and the compressor was not working. Instead of fixing the issue, customer support keeps delaying and wants photo proof that the compressor isn’t working. How exactly do customers photograph a compressor failure?
@social_genz@gemsofbabus_ Unreserved seats are not for general category. It is open category. Anyone with merit can claim those seats, not just general. So nobody is enjoying those seats
@Rajiv1841@vikrantgupta73 We cannot compare. Current players are the product of evolution cricket has undergone since past 30-40 years. They have better knowledge of everything starting from nutrition, recovery to the game data. Sachin didn’t have any scope to watch the bowler’s every action before playin
NEET-PG has 200 questions. Four marks for a correct answer, one deducted for a wrong one.
So even with zero knowledge, blindly marking A for all questions will, statistically, still fetch around 40–60 marks by random chance.
You need to be a special kind of idiot to score 1 in such a scenario. This shows that you have neither medical knowledge nor common sense. And the biggest irony is that we are making such people specialist doctors. What a country, and what a system, man!
@otvkhabar Bro skipped the chapter on Muhammad bin Tughlaq and somehow skipped Article 21 too. How these people clear the exams is beyond my understanding!!
In 2022, a pregnant Indian tourist (not citizen) in Portugal died after being turned away from a maternity ward. Their health minister resigned within hours, taking moral responsibility.
There’s no such concept in India anymore. Twenty kids are dead, and forget legal responsibility, that never happens here, there’s no moral responsibility either. Nothing. The health minister should have resigned. There should have been mass firings, announcements of a CBI inquiry, fast-track justice, and sentencing.
And the insensitivity is next level. When someone asked the MP CM about the children’s deaths, he said, “Kal ki baat mat karo, aaj ki baat karo.” Say anything more against him, and he’ll claim there’s a conspiracy against him. That foreign funding is involved.
Everyone must come together and raise their voice against the E20 petrol mandate. Users deserve a say in such a major policy decision that will affect their hard-earned cars and bikes, despite the heavy taxes they already pay on them.
@AnjanikaHanuman @rushikesh_agre_ Pigeons cause lung diseases, sometimes fatal. And their unchecked population growth causes reduction in other bird species. So, while you may think you are feeding a bird, you could be killing other bird species in the process.
This is Sadhna Bhosale, a brilliant student from Sangli who scored 92% in Class X. She dreamed of becoming a doctor and was preparing for NEET.
Her father, Dhondiram Bhosale, a school principal, routinely subjected her to physical and emotional abuse over her studies. “These marks are too low, that subject is weak, if you don’t get selected, just wait and see”, such taunts were common.
Yesterday, Sadhna scored relatively low in a NEET mock test, which enraged her father. He started shouting at her. Sadhna, exhausted, shouted back, “Bas karo Papa. Aapke bhi to kam number aaye the. Aap kaun sa collector ban gaye?”
That struck the fragile ego of the deeply insecure Dhondiram. He grabbed the wooden handle of a stone grinder and attacked his daughter in front of his wife and son, continuing until she collapsed. She was later declared dead at the hospital.
Parents who inflict physical or emotional trauma on their children are monsters. Children are not your fixed deposits, retirement plans, or second chance at life. They’re individuals with their own dreams, limits, and emotional needs. Stop treating them like projects to fix your failures. It's parents like Dhondiram who drive students to suicide in places like Kota, where pressure is already high. If you lack the emotional maturity to support your kids through success and failure, you have no business bringing them into this world. Don’t reproduce just to ruin lives.
