You don't need to learn everything about Bitcoin today.
Start with one concept.
Then another.
Eventually, it all starts to connect.
That's the quest. ⚡
#SatQuests#Bitcoin#LearnBitcoin
When you send Bitcoin, you're not physically sending a coin across the internet.
You're updating ownership on a distributed ledger.
That's the interesting part.
#Bitcoin#Blockchain#BitcoinEducation
Bitcoin ≠ crypto.
“Crypto” is a broad category.
Bitcoin is its own network, technology and monetary system.
Knowing the difference matters.

Something worth paying attention to if you’re a woman developer in Kenya. 👀
@hack4_freedom and Dada Devs are creating an opportunity to learn, build and explore Bitcoin, Lightning, Nostr, eCash and open-source development, whether you’re already familiar with these technologies or just getting started.
You’ll learn from experienced builders and educators, collaborate with other developers, and put your technical skills to work.
And yes, participation is completely free, with workshop and event costs covered.
Plus, there are cash prizes of up to $5,000 to be won during the hackathon.

We got some feedback that Pull needed to do more than just help developers find open source projects.
We needed to help them actually get started.
So we built First Contribution.
It walks developers through the process and comes with a practice repo where they can actually go through the steps, open a PR, and get familiar with the workflow before contributing to a real project.
It’s now live on Pull.
Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Two pizzas.
10,000 BTC.
One of the most famous stories in Bitcoin history.
Sometimes history looks very different in hindsight. 😂

Who runs Bitcoin?
There isn't one CEO.
There isn't one office.
There isn't one person with a master switch.
That's the point.

Open-source Bitcoin development requires something most engineers can't easily give it: sustained, uninterrupted time.
For many developers, contributing to Bitcoin infrastructure has to compete with the job that pays the bills. Reading unfamiliar codebases, working through reviews, staying with a problem across multiple iterations, all of that takes a kind of focus that is hard to find in the margins of a full-time job, and this is why funding exists.
However, funding is only useful if developers know how to access it. That means understanding what kinds of work can be supported, what funders are actually evaluating when they read an application, and which program fits where you are right now in your contribution journey.
We put together a practical guide that answers all of it. It covers what Bitcoin open-source funding looks like, the difference between grants, fellowships, cohorts and project funding, what to have ready before you apply, what makes an application stand out, and where to start if you are still building your contribution record.
If you have been thinking about making the transition from part-time contributor to full-time open-source developer, this is where to start.

“Bitcoin is dead.”
We've heard it before. Many times.
Yet the network is still running.
Maybe there's more to Bitcoin than the headlines. 👀

Bitcoin is often called anonymous.
That's not quite right.
Bitcoin transactions are public. Understanding privacy starts with understanding that difference.
