Been at a lot of cricket in my life. Travelled the world. But this feels as special as any of them.
The team of inherited heartbreak has finally won their first world title. Against Australia, at Lord's.
They lived in the shade for the longest time, no one deserves the sun more.
As someone who has kept a close eye on the ever emerging disinformation landscape in India, here is my advice for you, in case you’re going insane from all the news:
1. Don’t watch YouTube, don’t watch tv news.
2. Read legacy newspapers the next morning—The Hindu, Hindustan Times, The Indian Express. The papers are not perfect but they’re a key to keeping you sane. Also read wire services such as Reuters.
3. Stay in touch with your family.

Three points on #Zomato policy:
1. Free market is brahminical.
2. Casteist capital is hegemonic (from Sudha Murthy's separate spoons to Zomato's separate delivery plan).
3. Indicator of June 4 results so that this nonsense continues to get support of the establishment.
Oh boy! Always knew the obscure doctoral work on smell and caste will one day be handy in a public debate. Smells carry caste & discrimination. How we smell & what we smell is deeply political & in our case, framed by caste. Read more here. DM for pdf.
