Saturn Dynamics is joining the European Robotics House! Partnering with EuroTech Federation to bring world models for embodied intelligence to top robotics builders. First stop: Zurich, where our CSO, Cesc Cunillera, will be a mentor & judge for the Physical AI Hackathon!
Looks convincing until the agent moves, changes an object, or comes back. Our CEO Elisa Seghetti is on her way to join #aiPULSE by @Scaleway for a discussion on world models that hold up when you interact. @ Master Stage, @joinstationf at 16:50.

Elisa: World models and simulation-first approaches in other sciences: chemistry, quantum, ... Experiments there are expensive and slow, and learning in simulation could change the economics. I want to see domain experts build companies there. If thatβs you, reach out to us! πͺ

Elisa: Europe has an extraordinary industrial base. The opportunity is to combine it with frontier AI and experiment much faster. Being cautious won't help: other countries will deploy this regardless. Europe either sets the game on its own terms, or adopts it on others'.
Question: Europe has a long industrial history and heritage. How do we double down on it, and what do our biggest industrial companies need to do to move faster?
Elisa: By changing the economics of the problem. We designed the architecture around learning efficiency from day 1, so we iterate orders of magnitude faster per dollar. Then we stay focused: dominate one problem, prove it works in the real world, expand from there.
Question: Thereβs a common belief that, apart from Mistral in language, Europe has no real foundation-model companies, and US labs have far more capital and GPUs. Youβre building one from scratch anyway. How do you compete without trying to outspend them?
Elisa: This quarter we release a public benchmark for world models. Most metrics measure how pretty the picture looks. Ours asks: does this world model actually improve my robotics policy? We're also deploying more and more robots across factories in Europe.
Elisa: Very far. We think world models can get you 99% of the way there, and the real world is the last mile. Robotics has less than 2% of the data GPT-2 was trained on. World models generate data at scale, and we're building toward the Common Crawl corpus of physical AI data.
Question: LLMs have had, the whole entire internet to learn from, but for robots, there is no internet of movements. Elisa, youβre generating that experience in simulation. How far can simulation take a robot before it needs the real world?
Elisa: Three things matter: rockstar cofounders you'd trust with your life, a problem too big to turn away from, and a team you can spend 30 years with. We're physics PhDs, RL experts and repeat founders. And it's the best moment to build. What else should I wait for?
Question: Elisa, your Co-founder Simone came to physical AI from software. What led you here, and why did it feel like the moment to start a company in it?
Elisa: Robots need a place to learn before the real world, which the picture captures. The difference: simulators are heuristic-driven, world models are data-driven. A flight simulator hardcodes fluid dynamics; a world model learns the world and spins out many simulations.
Yes, that's right! Our CEO, Elisa Seghetti, will join the "Atoms are Back" robotics panel, right before Jony Ive and John Elkann hit take the stage at #Wave by @vento_ventures next week.
