Dengan hormat, saya sungguh heran kenapa Pemerintah 🇮🇩 tidak memenuhi undangan Iran utk mengirim delegasi resmi ke pemakaman almarhum Ayatollah Khamenei yg terbunuh dlm serangan militer ilegal.

Yg saya dengar, berbagai upaya gigih Iran utk mengundang Pemerintah 🇮🇩 tidak mendapat tanggapan. (Mereka kan juga punya harga diri - tidak mungkin mengemis-emis kehadiran kita.) Akhirnya, yg hadir hanya Dubes RI di Teheran - yg dianggap oleh Teheran sbg sikap menyepelekan undangan ini, bahkan dianggap sbg tamparan. Sementara Arab Saudi, Qatar, Turki, Oman, Kazakhtan, Mesir, Pakistan, Rusia, Tiongkok, India, Malaysia, Bangladesh dll (lihat daftar dibawah) sama sekali tidak ragu mengirim delegasi resmi pada tingkat Menteri, bahkan Pakistan pada tingkat Presiden. 🇮🇩 sbg negara berpenduduk muslim terbesar di dunia satu-satunya yg ABSEN mengirim delegasi.  Bahkan Malaysia nampak lebih bebas aktif dari Indonesia.

Apakah ini berarti polugri "bebas aktif" kita mulai LUNTUR krn 🇮🇩 takut/sungkan thdp Amerika ? Has “FEAR” become a factor in Indonesian foreign policy ? Ataukah kekhilafan ini lebih mencerminkan MANAJEMEN sistem politik luar negeri yang penuh masalah - sebagaimana biasanya, surat undangan macet di berbagai meja dan tidak ada yg berani mengambil keputusan. Paling tidak 🇮🇩 bisa mengirim Wamenlu urusan dunia Islam Anis Matta - tapi beliau justru keliling Asia Tengah utk kunjungan yg sifatnya rutin. 

Kita seakan melupakan bhw Iran adalah sahabat lama Indonesia, hubungan selalu terjaga dgn hangat dan saling menghormati, dan tidak pernah ada konflik antara kedua negara. Kehadiran delegasi resmi 🇮🇩 dlm acara penghormatan terakhir Ayatollah Khamenei (yg sayangnya tidak terjadi) seharusnya menjadi momen pembuktian diplomasi bebas aktif Indonesia, momen persahabatan RI-Iran sekaligus sinyal tegas dari Jakarta bhw adalah aksi pembunuhan Ayatollah Khamenei adalah aksi ilegal yg melanggar hukum dan norma internasional.

Jangan sampai kita selalu lantang bicara bebas aktif, tapi begitu diminta menentukan sikap dlm situasi yg sensitif, kita bersembunyi.

Yesterday, Israel deliberately killed a UN Indonesian peacekeeper and wounded others in Lebanon.

Israel cannot continue to be treated as a full member of the UN.

Attacking UN peacekeepers is an abomination which was in the past perpetrated by terrorists, but never by members of the UN.

Some of you pretended to care what the UN had to say in 1948. Do you care that the UN of today has had more UN personnel killed in the last 2 years than in its history.

Instead of smearing me for trying to save this world, you should protect us for trying to save this world, not abandon us!

This is the moment we can salvage what remains of the UN and international law. I call on everyone to unite for the sake of our humanity.

The U.S. and Israel attacks on civilians must be stopped. Impunity must end.

We are outraged. An Indonesian peacekeeper is murdered. Another is fighting for his life. Israel bombed the base where they served.

This is clearly not an accident, nor a collateral damage. This is Netanyahu’s regime showing, once again, that they don’t care about international law, about UN personnel, and about the lives of those who dedicate themselves to peace.

Indonesia has gone above and beyond. We have sent over 1,200 of our troops to serve under the UN flag. The Indonesian government also joined the Board of Peace to push for a just and lasting resolution in the Middle East. We extended our hand in good faith. Yet the answer to that good faith is a bomb dropped on our soldiers’ base. They spat on every effort Indonesia has made for peace.

But let us be honest, this is not surprising. Netanyahu’s regime has shown time and again that they are indifferent to the world’s calls for restraint. They ignore UN resolutions. They strike UN facilities. They kill civilians, journalists, aid workers, and now peacekeepers. No one is off-limits. No one is safe. Sadly, it keeps going because the world keeps allowing it.

To the UN Secretary-General, we appreciate your condemnation and your condolences. But words are not enough anymore. The UN must move beyond statements. Concrete, enforceable, and urgent action is what this moment demands. The credibility of the UN is on the line. If the world body cannot protect its own peacekeepers, what exactly is it protecting?

To the nations of the world, now is the time to act together. Push for accountability. Refer those responsible to international courts. Enforce the rules that you all signed up to uphold. International law is only as strong as the willingness of nations to defend it. That willingness has been tested over and over again by Netanyahu’s regime. For countless of times, the world has failed the test.

Do not let this death be forgotten in a news cycle. Do not let this become just another statistic in a long list of violations. Demand justice. Demand accountability. Make clear that those who attack UN peacekeepers will face real consequences.
