When Captain Smit Machchhar stood in the face of danger, he didn’t think only of himself.
He thought of the 174 lives entrusted to him.
That courage reminds many of us of the values at the heart of HINDU dharma:
Karma — do your duty.
Seva — serve others.
Karuna — show compassion.
Dharma — stand for what is right.
Hinduism teaches that we should perform our duty without being consumed by fear of the outcome.
Captain, your courage gave those words meaning.
🇮🇳🙏
Get well soon, Captain Smit Machchhar.
Wishing you strength, good health and a full recovery.
Your courage has inspired people far beyond that cockpit.

Remove the tube light and the outlet pipe, and you are back in the 7th century. This is how Appar would have sung Thiruthaandagam infront of Shiva, with his devout Tamil poetry reverberating across the stone walls. A cultural continuity spanning centuries

🙏🇮🇳 I’m an Australian 🦘 maths historian and I’m tired of watching the West take the applause for ideas India already had.
Baudhāyana before Pythagoras.
Āryabhaṭa before Galileo.
Brahmagupta before the West even accepted zero as a number.
Madhava before Newton.
Pingala before Fibonacci.
Ramanujan etc.
Yet still the textbooks bow to Europe first.
India’s gurus and rishis were not a footnote. Their ideas were copied, thinned out, renamed, and then sold back to Indian children as “Western maths.”
So I’m asking Indians directly:
If you could attend a talk by any 🇮🇳 Indian mathematician, living or historical, who I’ve mentioned on my X, who would you choose and why?
Reply with the name.
Tag a student, a teacher, or a parent who still thinks maths began in Greece.
If this history was hidden from you in school, this post is for you.
RT so the next generation hears the real names first.
Jai Hind.

Just when I was beginning to lose hope about the civilisational conflict in Bharat, Mahadeva made me come across this book by an American Indophile and historian, Shri Will Durant, and I feel rejuvenated enough to fight on.
It is titled, ‘The case for India’.
He penned it in 1930.
Extremely disturbed by the British destruction of Indian polity and economy, he writes, “ I was filled with astonishment and indignation at the apparently conscious and deliberate bleeding of India by England throughout 150 years, and I began to feel that I had come upon the GREATEST CRIME in all history.”
But as my friends know, I am not a whiner. I strongly believe that every problem has a solution if human beings apply themselves to it.
What caught my attention was the next paragraph by Shri Durant -
“ I know how weak words are in face of guns and blood, how irrelevant mere truth and decency appear beside the might of empires and gold. But if EVEN ONE HINDU fighting for freedom shall hear this call of mine and be trifle comforted, then these months of work on this little book will seem sweet to me.
For I know of nothing in the world that I would rather do today than to be of help to India.”
Well, Mr. Durant, Hindus are still fighting for their survival in the subcontinent. Your words inspire us and we will keep fighting till we are truly free.
The controversy surrounding RSS Mohan Bhagwat's visit to North America raises a much bigger question:
Who gets to define acceptable Hinduism?
Hindus don't need politicians or activist organizations to determine which expressions of our own identity are acceptable.
We can have those debates ourselves.
A message to government,
restated clearly.
British Indians and Hindus
want to feel safe in the
country we call home.
That’s not a lot to ask.
The facts:
📊 The Crime Survey for
England and Wales shows
Hindus are the SECOND most
likely religious group to
be victims of religiously
motivated hate crime.
⚖️ Islamophobia — legally
recognised. Antisemitism —
legally recognised.
Hinduphobia — still not.
🛕 Hindu and Sikh places of
worship receive a fraction
of the security funding
given to other faith
institutions.
🕯️ A 2023 London Assembly
motion on Hinduphobia passed
UNANIMOUSLY. Two years on,
still no national action.
Our demands remain the
same, and they’re not
going away:
✅ Legal recognition of
Hinduphobia — matching
existing protections
✅ Equal faith security
funding for Hindu and
Sikh institutions
✅ Proper recording of
anti-Hindu hate crime,
nationally, not just locally
✅ A visible commitment
from government, not just
a motion that passed and
was forgotten
We built this country
alongside everyone else.
We ask for nothing more
than everyone else already has. 🙏

Despite inflicting partition on India by voting in favor of it by 90% & more so by orchestrating pogroms throughout the country: majority of Muslims chose to stay in India. India didn’t force them to leave either despite Hindu-Sikh were being ethnically cleansed in Pakistan. Today percentage of Muslims in India has become 1.5x of what it was at partition!!!Compare not just to even Bangladesh where Hindu population has plummeted but even to what Germans - who actually had never voted for Hitler - suffered in their ancestral lands in modern day Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Baltics etc. 15 million were kicked out & millions died on the journey. This was by the West which was esp obsessed by Human Rights then.
No nation has suffered the barbarism anywhere in world, anytime in history, as what the Mohammedans had repeatedly unleashed on India. And yet no country has shown Muslims more generosity - they were not just tolerated but made more than equal citizens with special privileges. It’s ONLY because India has Hindu ethos. But you’d never be grateful. Islam brainwashes you into tribalism & hatred of the infidels from childhood. May you children have less accursed mindset.
@kadalcippi How to deal with Vedic astrologers on social media, saying that next few weeks would be problematic for those travelling to South East Asia- as astronomy is tricky for that period? How much attention should be given to such messages? Best to verify with astrologers ourselves?
Illiterate FOOL @rohini_sgh.
You blabber nonsense without knowing anything. Dalits and OBCs already head major Hindu temples.
The richest and greatest Hindu temple, Tirupati , recently trained 1000 Dalits in Hindu scriptures. They have been serving as priests in temple. Majority on the TTD board also belong to OBC community.
Many other ancient temples in Andhra, Karnataka and Kerala train Dalits as priests.

@ratneshrai8 What an inspiration Anuradha Goreji is! Koti koti naman to her for highlighting the work necessary for taking up responsibility to change / transform the local texture. 🙏🙏
