बड़े-बड़े बहुउद्देशीय बांध, नए-नए नियोजित शहर, जनता के स्वामित्व वाले कारखाने, मेडिकल और मैनेजमेंट के इदारे, साइंस और टेक्नोलॉजी के विश्वस्तरीय संस्थान, दुनिया की राजनीति में देश का ऊंचा स्थान, सभ्यता की प्राचीनता का भान और आधुनिक संविधान, राष्ट्रीय स्वाभिमान और सम्मान सब एक साथ युगद्रष्टा नेहरू की प्राथमिकता में था।

औपनिवेशिक शोषण और भय देखने वाली आंखों को युगनेता जवाहरलाल ने राष्ट्रीय प्रगति और शक्ति का साकार रूप दिखाया।
क़िस्मत से बाज़ी लगाने वाला वह शरीर भले ही आज के दिन देश के ज़र्रे-ज़र्रे में समा गया, लेकिन भारत माता के शीशमुकुट में हिंद के जवाहर की दमक हमेशा क़ायम रही और रहेगी, क्योंकि महानता की मृत्यु नहीं होती।
