NHAI अवगत कराना चाहता है कि यह मामला दिल्ली–देहरादून आर्थिक कॉरिडोर पर बागपत जिले के ग्राम गंगनौली के निकट स्थित स्थान का है। कॉरिडोर के तटबंध (Embankment) में दिखाई गई कटाई किसी निर्माण दोष या संरचनात्मक विफलता के कारण नहीं हुई है, बल्कि यह स्थानीय स्तर पर नए इंटरचेंज की मांग को लेकर आंदोलन कर रहे कुछ लोगों द्वारा की गई अनधिकृत कटाई का परिणाम है।

NHAI ने तटबंध की मरम्मत तथा लंबित ड्रेनेज, ढाल (Slope) सुरक्षा एवं अन्य सड़क सुरक्षा कार्यों को पूरा करने के लिए कई बार प्रयास किए हैं। हाल ही में भी जब NHAI ने गंगनौली में मरम्मत का कार्य पुनः प्रारंभ करने का प्रयास किया, तब आंदोलनकारियों ने कार्य में फिर से बाधा उत्पन्न की तथा राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग के हिस्से को क्षतिग्रस्त कर दिया। इसके कारण मरम्मत पूरा नहीं हो सका और तटबंध की स्थिति और अधिक प्रभावित हुई।

इस संबंध में जिला प्रशासन एवं कानून-प्रवर्तन एजेंसियों के साथ लगातार समन्वय किया गया है तथा आवश्यक कानूनी कार्रवाई भी प्रारंभ की जा चुकी है। स्थल की नियमित रूप से रूट पेट्रोलिंग के माध्यम से निगरानी की जा रही है। NHAI, जिला प्रशासन के सहयोग से कार्यस्थल उपलब्ध होते ही तटबंध की मरम्मत तथा सभी लंबित सुरक्षा कार्यों को शीघ्र पूर्ण करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।

Such a brutal attack on a public servant performing his official duties not only endangers individual safety but also erodes institutional integrity.

I have taken serious cognizance of the matter and spoken with the Chief Minister, Shri @SukhuSukhvinder Ji, urging immediate and exemplary action against all perpetrators. Accountability must prevail, and justice must be delivered without delay.

Shri Achal Jindal, Manager (T), NHAI PIU Shimla, was brutally assaulted by the Minister of Panchayati Raj, Himachal Pradesh Sh @anirudhsinghMLA , along with six others.
He sustained serious injuries, including multiple head wounds requiring stitches, and is currently hospitalized.

This is an appalling and unacceptable attack on a public servant discharging his official duties. We demand immediate and exemplary action against all those responsible for this heinous act.

Officer safety is non-negotiable. We stand united.
