TikTok is reportedly testing a feature that allows fans to pre-save upcoming albums so they will be automatically added to users’ music libraries on Spotify or Apple Music once they’re released.

This could be a game changer for artists that heavily pre-tease their music on TikTok!

One of the greatest benefits from not releasing on a Friday is you steer away from all the noise on NMF. Tyler The Creator released #CHROMAKOPIA on Monday morning and is currently a top searched topic in the media.

This was a great move IMO especially as we fight through the additional noise of the US election.

More artists should consider releasing their music when there’s less competition for our attention. Especially developing artist’s that aren’t in a position to chase NMF playlists.

Working at a startup really challenges all your hard and soft skills, which can sometimes be more valuable than hopping straight into the corporate world.

I’m forever grateful I began my career in the startup vs corporate world because I got to wear many hats and get hands on experience with every facet of the business. All those skills I developed gave me leverage when I eventually leaped into the corporate world.

Don’t be afraid to start small. The early lack of structure/specialization can turn you into the sharpest tool in the shed.
