This case was originally signed out descriptively and favored to represent a nonneoplastic process. Subsequent discussion with the surgeon revealed a history of tuberous sclerosis. PEComa markers were then performed and were positive, supporting the diagnosis

It is not common to see a yolk sac in a POC specimen or even in ectopic pregnancy. It looks concerning, but once you see one, you'll recognize it faster next time.
