Smart Meter or Smart Loot?

30th August 2025 — I paid ₹5,000 + ₹11,000 to the electricity department to clear all dues as per their records.
9th October — again ₹1,500 paid.
And today, 15th October — electricity connection stopped due to “non-payment”.

If these “smart meters” are truly smart, why are they punishing honest bill-payers instead of showing transparent usage?
Are they installed to monitor consumption — or to trap consumers in inflated, unexplained bills?
