@Uber @dkhos @thriftycars Horrible experience with Uber Rent. I am a regular and heavy UBER user. Thought I'd try their UBER Rent. Had a rental done through Uber for pickup at Burbank airport - UBER confirmed, took an advance of $102.96 and gave me a confirmation number.

Folks, BEWARE. They do not have this sorted. I booked this car through UBER and paid to UBER, why should I have to go to Thrifty for a refund. And why should a verified and heavy user like me be given the runaround? #pathetic #Ripoff

Trudged all the way back to the airport, ordered an UBER ride and got to my hotel, raised an issue with UBER. Since then it has been a nightmare - they say they need to contact Thrifty. Can't get a response on email, can't call anyone as they don't have a helpdesk number to call.
