“It is easy to speak about faith and hope from a place of comfort, such as the United States. However, I believe God is the same everywhere, and He gives each of us our time and purpose.” — Nick Vujicic
#BeyondTheCanvas
Today, @reachahand was honored to host @nickvujicic during the launch of #BeyondTheCanvas. His message on purpose, resilience, self-acceptance, and gratitude deeply moved everyone, especially persons with disabilities whose experiences and voices are rarely seen or heard.
One thing that stayed with me was his reminder that “every day is a gift.” In a world that often focuses on limitations, Nick reminded us to embrace who we are and make the most of our abilities and talents with courage, hope, and love.
Thank you, Nick, for the powerful and honest conversation. Your words inspired us all and reminded us of the importance of building a more compassionate and inclusive society.

Across Africa, youth unemployment remains a defining crisis. In Uganda, over 50% of young people aged 18–30 are out of employment, education, or training. We cannot rely on traditional pipelines anymore; we must build new ones.
That is why welcoming our 2026 #SautiDigitalFellowship cohort fills me with immense pride. This cohort is transitioning directly from @reachahand's #PEA26 year of service, moving from grassroots community advocacy into practical, economic action.
This partnership provides a perfect blueprint for how we can systematically dismantle youth unemployment. Through this dedicated year under Reach A Hand Africa and @SautiPlus, we are bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.
We are equipping these fellows with high-income digital skills, including Social Media Management, Photography, Graphic Design, and Public Relations, giving them a competitive launchpad to thrive as innovative professionals in the creative economy.
To the 2026 cohort: You are the proof that with the right platforms, young people can rewrite the narrative. Refine your craft during this pivotal year, and let’s shape the future of African storytelling together.
Welcome to the family!

"Abakyala mbayita bazira kuba beebagumira ebisinga...."
Before the speeches and the wonderful stories behind the production of the film, the mothers in the building took time to shake it off.
It is all about the premiere of "Maama Wange" happening now at @reachahand offices in Lungujja.

What do you have to say about your mother?
Tubuulire ku Maama wo.....!
Here is what some the people attending the movie premiere of "Maama Wange" had to say about their mothers.

Yesterday, we were honored by the presence of Dr. Roseline Achola (@rosellineac), Technical Specialist SRH & Self-Care at the @MinofHealthUG, who encouraged young mothers to prioritize self-care throughout pregnancy and motherhood.
“When we prioritize self-care, we are able to seek the right support, prepare ourselves for safe delivery, and protect our mental and physical well-being.”

Powerful stories have the ability to teach, heal, and inspire. The story of #MaamaWange goes even further, reminding us of the sacrifices made every day by mothers across our communities.
Speaking at the #MaamaWange premiere yesterday, our CEO @HumNabimanya reflected on the personal connection behind the film and appreciated everyone who helped bring the story to life.
“This film means a lot to me because my mother went through many of the challenges highlighted in the story. We know that so many mothers make incredible sacrifices every day to ensure their children survive and thrive.”
Special appreciation goes to @masadde84607, Doreen Mirembe, @SautiPlus, and our entire team for their dedication to impactful storytelling.

Yesterday, we officially premiered #MaamaWange, a project that sits deeply at the intersection of storytelling, advocacy, and social change.
For @reachahand, this film is not just creative work; it is part of a bigger advocacy agenda we have carried for years: using media and storytelling to address sexual reproductive health, break stigma, and open up conversations that communities often avoid.
Maama Wange tells a story rooted in the real lived experiences of mothers and young women. It reflects struggle, resilience, and the silent battles many go through; but more importantly, it creates a space for dialogue, understanding, and action.
Film, when used intentionally, moves beyond entertainment and becomes a tool for education, reflection, and transformation.
To everyone who supported this journey, believed in the vision, and showed up for the premiere, thank you.
#MaamaKitDrive #ReachAHandAfrica #RAHUat15
From concept to final execution, every frame, setup, and audience experience was intentionally crafted and we’re proud to have played a role in bringing Maama Wange to life.
