@reese_rutko @KIN110UofR I do love going to hockey games and seeing fights, to me it brings up the level of excitement. However I don’t like watching players that are dirty and do dangerous hitting such as hitting from behind and intentional violence!

@KIN110UofR Racism is a big topic in today��s sport culture. For example, if a white male wins a gold medal, he is seen for his determination, and effort to be able to win. Whereas if a black athlete male were to win a gold medal, people only think it’s due to his genetics. #racism

@KIN110UofR Studies have shown that the generation of children now are expected to live shorter lives than the parents due to the consumption of sugar and high rates of obesity. I think the government needs to make a change so that we can change the statistics in the future #sugartax

@ByeRhys @KIN110UofR I think merchandising should go to the funding as well. Like we discussed in class today, often people pay for the experience rather than the sport itself. In order to get that experience, organizations need to funding to make it a better experience and environment

@zoha_m_ I do agree that technology isn’t always a bad thing. With the children now becoming so advanced with it; in the future that’s what the generation is going to excel at. So if parents don’t allow there kids on technology; you may be limiting them in the future. #Lab2KIN11019

Now a days parents have to set a time limit on technology in order to get there kids playing in informal activities. Due to technology becoming more addictive to younger children my question to everyone is: did you have a screen time limit for technology growing up? #Lab2KIN11019

Nowadays children are spending more time on technology while drinking sugary drinks or junk food which is why there is an obesity epidemic right now and it will continue to rise unless we educate people on getting children to do more informal activities #Lab2KIN11019

@Jeanettekin110 Yes I was the same way! I actually never got a cell phone until grade 9, so for me I never wanted to sit at home watching tv; I always wanted to either be in sports or playing informal activities with friends so my parents never had to give me a screen time limit. #Lab2KIN11019

An example of an informal activity would be grounders on a play structure. Kids use there imaginations and create rules/obstacles to make the game more fun. I loved playing grounders as a kid, what is an example of informal activities everyone else enjoyed doing? #Lab2KIN11019
