Luke 17:2 “It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.” Let’s remember to follow Jesus and protect children.
To the Americans:
I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States.
And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness:
You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence.
This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns.
Success is equated with exploitation.
Ambition is looked upon with contempt.
This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom.
But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated.
This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.
And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:
Thank God for the United States.
Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.
Long may your admirable country dominate the world.
Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.
May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning.
Your country is the light of the world, and the city on the hill.
Thank God for the USA.
Happy 250th.

Men in the Church: "Priesthood session is gone. Stake athletics is gone. Priesthood opening exercises is gone. Scouting is gone. The young men program has no structure. Fathers and Sons campouts are virtually gone. Men are the group at the most risk of suicide in the ward. Feminism is taking over the congregations. And much the messaging seems geared toward women. Do you have anything for us?"
Church PR Dept: "Oh for sure! Yeah, here's a story of a man. You'll love this!
"He attended Relief Society activities as a boy, dances ballet, and now he's a women's fashion designer in New York City. He wants to share his testimony about 'finding identity through clothing' and the 'power in femininity.'"
Men: "Ah, okay. That's... that's cool, I guess. Good on him for keeping faithful in a tough cultural environment. There are definitely a few of us who will resonate with that.
"But do you have anything that will inspire the other 99% of us? Like a guy holding down a tough job to make ends meet? A guy who sacrifices so his kids can have a better future? A message of finding adventure and purpose in life, or building brotherhood in Elders Quorum, maybe? No? Nothing? Okay..."
Seriously, good on Poto for staying faithful in a very counter-Gospel environment. I just look forward to the same supportive comments when the next article features a guy who works construction and finds fulfillment in BBQ competitions and MMA.
Next Congress will for sure not have:
Thomas Massie
Al Green
Jasmine Crockett
Dan Crenshaw
Eric Swalwell
Mitch McConnell
Nancy Pelosi
Don Bacon
Jerry Nadler
Bill Cassidy
I’m happy about all of it.
76% of black voters want voter ID
Along with 82% of Latinos and 85% of whites.
Democrats hyperventilate about "preserving democracy" while they block the single most obvious thing that preserves democracy.
“Minnesota watched a Somali man walk FREE after a jury CONVICTED him of stealing $7.2 million in taxpayer money.
The jury said the evidence was overwhelming.
The judge erased the verdict anyway.
If a unanimous conviction can be overturned, justice is DEAD.
