And the wildest part? He ain’t even make it to payday to enjoy a single dollar of it.
Y’all… please don’t kîll yourselves for these jobs. They’ll replace you before your chair even gets cold. Take a break, drink some water, go home. The money ain’t worth your life.
Man let me tell y’all… This dude at my job been grinding nonstop. I’m talking doubles on top of doubles, barely going home, living off vending machine snacks and caffeine. He finally checked his hours and realized he pulled in crazy overtime, His check was gonna be over $2,800 easy. Today he passed out on the floor in the break room. Body just gave out. Paramedics said he was dehydrated, no sleep, too many energy drinks, stress through the roof.
Being attractive AND gifted usually means people are going to treat you like shit, especially family members once they recognise you’re gifted but also struggling. Instead of helping you, the usually develop rampant jealousy and comparison and believe you deserve every harsh thing you get.
One of the biggest mistakes that people make in early dating is building attachment faster than they’re building information.
You’re texting all the time, saying good morning and good night, checking in about each other’s days, asking deep questions, sharing stories, sending memes, building a rhythm.
And none of that is bad, but all of it creates attachment. It creates familiarity. It creates bonding, connection, investment.
And the problem is:
The longer you stay single, the more comfortable you become with not wanting anyone.
Love is cool and all, but you’d rather clap for other people than participate. Talking stages become exhausting because you won’t fight for anyone, and even when you like someone, pursuing it starts to feel like a burden.
Being single is addictive. You get so used to your peace that letting someone into your life starts to feel like a disruption.
Late 20s are the endgame for most people because the dust finally settles. Checks come due that you wrote ages ago. You start seeing the outcomes of all the choices in the flurry of the 20s
See lot of friends cooked at this age. Stuck in a mess they didn’t know they were making. And you can’t give them advice
No matter how many deep convos you have they will only learn on their own despite all the head nodding & “you’re rights” they give you
But anyone can start over deep deep in the red and be fine. All that potential energy is still sitting there if you never tapped it
The cusp of the 30s is a reckoning. Confronting what you’ve built & the person responsible for it
Never, ever, ever lose your mind over a woman. Never sacrifice your life or sacrifice your experiences over a woman that does not care about you.
When it's done, let it be done. Stop checking her story. Stop checking her following. Stop checking her reposts. Stop texting her. Stop calling her.
Stop worrying about if she's with another man, and most importantly, stop worrying about if you could have done anything better.
If she is not your girl, you should not be worried about nothing she is doing.
Worrying about her hasn't put a dollar in your pocket, it hasn't put food on your table, it hasn't brought respect to your name, and it hasn't put a roof over your head.
It's time for you to wake up, go to the gym, get up early, make your money, achieve your goals, meet new people, take risks, and go out there and take everything in this world that is yours.
Quit holding on to that woman and let her go.
Now, today, why would you force yourself to continue to hold on to somebody that's clearly showing you that they don't respect you, nor do they care about you?
Stop carrying yourself like you're nobody.
Forget about her.
Adulting has humbled me a lot. I finally understand why so many adults stop posting on social media or even deactivate their accounts. Life feels so much more peaceful when everything isn’t on display. 🥹🤎
There is a japanese legend that says:
If you miss the bus, maybe you avoided the accident. If you got rejected, maybe you were saved from the wrong place. If they left, maybe they made room for who is coming.
The universe protects you in ways that look like bad luck at first. Trust the detour.
Andre 3000 has been telling you guys the same thing in a different manner for 20 years now. That said, I do think what guys are like Jay-Z and NaS are doing is important. They've created adult contemporary hip hop which is age appropriate and allows for them to grow old gracefully with an audience who is also maturing.
The problem with an artist like 50 cent is that there's really no room for his music to grow because ultimately it was always based on (in his words) "aggressive content".
I really want my age group of 30-40, to graduate from arrested development and realize they are 10-15 years away from ageism affecting their lives
I understand wanting to believe you are forever a child, but that is not reality and not accepting reality is hurting many people
Yall street politics gay as fuck. The street niggas where you from are willing to sit in prison and never get pussy cause the color of a kids hat. That shit is gay.
🚨 DOES ANYBODY ELSE FEEL LIKE WE NEVER REALLY CAME BACK FROM 2020? Something changed and I’m not just talking about COVID. Time feels faster, people feel more disconnected, and life doesn’t seem to have the same color it once had. Think about the 80s, 90s and early 2000s summers felt longer, music had eras, holidays had a feeling, and people seemed more present. Now everything moves so fast that years disappear like months. 2019 was 7 years ago… but does it really FEEL like it? 👁️ Call it a timeline shift, collective awakening, or the psychological aftermath of everything we experienced but something about life has never felt the same since. Who else feels it?
black americans are always told that they need to "get over" slavery but when we look at it, white people are the ones who never got over it and you can see it in the way they’ve been trying to recreate it with prison, treatment, union busting, ai/robot servitude fantasies, etc.
