Loving life in Milbank! My favorite part of life is being a wife to Ryan and mom to Royce. Teaching 4th grade this year has been an exciting challenge.
A4 I will always keep in mind to start with my learning outcomes and then choose tools and strategies that support success. I plan to integrate flipgrid-so easy to use #sdedchat
Collaborating while problem solving gives the kids a chance to bounce ideas off each other while still having safety in numbers...maybe they will be more willing to contribute ideas if it is part of a group effort #sdedchat
A1 stems are so important especially in the early stages and with young learners. Can be constructed to encourage higher level thinking as well #sdedchat
A2 4th graders are so self conscious! I think they would feel intimidated even being paired with someone in middle school. I’d like to try pairing them with 4th graders from another school and use video chats to peer edit writing pieces. #sdedchat
@jkvesely Talk about not being techy-I'm trying to see ppl who have replied to you so I can use that to help me out here too and I can't see them! Any answers for that?!
A5. Big benefit is getting kids excited about learning because they get to play with a new tool. My students love hearing that they are the first ones I've used a new program with and rise to the challenge #Sdedchat
