For a family-oriented business, @Disneyland sure doesn’t seem to care much about families.
My grandfather was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He has made the incredibly difficult decision to proceed with MAID on September 18.
I understand there are policies. But when a family is dealing with a terminal cancer diagnosis and a loved one’s end-of-life date happens to conflict with a non-refundable event ticket, you’d hope a company that markets itself around family and magic would show some compassion.
I wasn’t asking for a refund. I wasn’t asking for anything extra. I simply asked if they could move the tickets one week.
I was told no.
I even escalated the situation to a supervisor, explained the circumstances again, and was still told there was nothing they could do.
I had purchased tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash for September 15 as part of our family Disneyland trip.
Because of my grandfather’s situation, I asked Disneyland if they could move our tickets to the September 22 event so I could be there for him and still take my trip
