Intermittent fasting(IF) is a diet that has become increasingly more popular. It shows to be moderately beneficial for weight loss in a short term time frame. IF has also shown to help lower fasting glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes.
Research shows that 16 hours of fasting, and an 8 hour eating period is most effective for obesity intervention. There currently is little research on the long term effects of IF, and the weight loss effects IF has.
