I've quietly stepped back from some people. Not because I hate them, but because I got tired. Tired of always being the one who reached out, understood, forgave, and kept things together while pretending I was okay too.
i’m learning that even if i react, it won’t change anything. it won’t make certain people suddenly love, understand and respect me. sometimes it’s better to be quiet and detach myself from them.
I once saw someone say, “My hyper-independence comes from how little urgency people show when it comes to me,” and it honestly hit harder than I expected.
If I’m willing to have an uncomfortable conversation with you, it’s because I value having you in my life. I’m trying to fix what’s hurting the relationship, not tear you down or attack you.
hardest pill to swallow is realizing people do not care. they will hurt you and really go on about their lives. not even slightly affected about what they did to you and how you feel. regardless if it’s friendships, relationships, or family.
i hate the fact that i require so much reassurance, like things could be going perfectly fine but there's always a part of me that believes that it's all a lie
