the extension compares the video and audio feed transcript to match the timestamp. however, if the transcripts are not cached, the timestamps may not match. in these cases, you can use the manual +15/-15 second adjustment, which will remember that for that show. in most cases, I’ve found the timestamps will only be off by ~15-45 seconds

i watch podcasts on youtube, but listen on apple podcasts when i'm on the go

so annoying how they'd never sync - i'd have to check where i left off on one and scrub forward on the other

so i built a podcast sync tool. it keeps both at the same time, both ways

free + open source - you can just build things :)
