@PreetiFaridkot So many VSB board meetings are being held behind closed doors. Full copies of staff reports are not being released to the public even though their policies are being implemented. Parent consultation is merely performative. @VSB needs to be transparent and accountable.#vanpoli

@school_olympic @vancouverobert @BrendaBaileyBC Olympic Village, with no school, is a reminder of the VSB's failed Long Range Facilities Plan, not anticipating growth. Critical updates are needed now with BC's TOD Area legislation in play. VSB urgently needs to align facility planning with future needs #LRFPUpdate

@pattibacchus 🏫 Public education matters. The City subsidizes a private school, while the City and VSB plan to generate capital by selling off public school land. We must prioritize fair planning and ensure high-quality education for every child. #accessiblebc

@reddyforchange It would be great if the VSB Trustees could pass a motion to include calculations of school childcare space in the next LRFP. This is especially critical at this time, with 25 areas being declared as TOD Areas, and the City passing re-zoning applications with 0-5 childcare.
