The “GCP spokesperson” claims in @Cambslive that “The on-road options have been fully assessed and, if bus lanes were to be provided, they would also damage areas such as Madingley Wood, an ancient woodland and site of special scientific interest, and the setting of the American Cemetery.” This is misleading. The on-road alternative utilises the existing road, which remains regardless of the chosen routing. The @CambridgePPF alternative, which safeguards Coton Orchard, has the backing of the AMC Superintendent and experts.
