Why would anyone turn the second busiest cycle route in Cambridge into a Busway? Adams Road links the city centre with the West Cambridge site. Keep it Bus Free for up to 4300 cyclists a day. https://t.co/hwjXtukYBG
This nightmare is getting closer by the day. Adams Road, the busiest cycle route in Cambridge, is the victim of Clare Hall’s desperate attempt to get the busway rerouted. They’ve spent £250,000 so far. They don’t care about pedestrian and cycle safety.
A Cambridge College spent over £21,000 lobbying to get the C2C Busway re-routed via Adams Road, Cambridge’s busiest cycle route. How many lives will be endangered if CLARE HALL gets its way?
A shocking waste of College funds. @camcycle @anjibennett

Last week it was ice, this week it’s mud.
The second busiest cycle route in Cambridge shouldn’t be treated this way.
Apparently St John’s (whose contractors caused this problem) are on the case. But no sign yet.
@CambsCC You have had DAYS to sort this out. There’s been no additional snow all week and yet multiple cycle paths and pavements are solid ice. How many fractures? How many dare not leave their homes? Get the copywriters out with bags of salt rather than thinking up
“witty” names. Please
A remote Cambridgeshire country lane? No. The second busiest cycle route in the greatest cycling city in Britain.
What’s the cost of maintaining it versus injured pedestrians and cyclists?
@CambsCC @Cambridge_Uni @camcycle
Scenic it may be but this is unacceptable for a major cycle route. Please can @CambsCC grit the Coton Cyclepath to the West Cambridge site?
@camcycle
@thomasforth Can I add another thought Tim? How many times do you struggle with 3G, 4G or 5G on a train journey? How often do you lose connection altogether in a tunnel? In Switzerland it works all the time. UK Internet connectivity failure leads to low UK productivity.
@BenHattonJourno Very sorry to see you go. I think I spoke to you on your first day in your job and was massively impressed by your thoroughness and clarity. I know you will do very well.
CALL THE COUNTY ARCHAEOLOGIST.
We’re down to the cobblestones on West Road.
Question: if this was on the pavement it would’ve been sorted. The fact it’s in the road means it hasn’t been fixed for months. Why?
Just heard that the GCP have changed their recommended route alignment for the final stage of the Busway having recognised the danger to cyclists using Adams Road. I hope the Executive Board support this decision. VERY grateful to @camcycle for all their support.
@nmassey79 @CambsCC Agree 100% Nicky. So please don’t dump 280 buses a day on Adams Road, the busiest cycle route in Cambridge. https://t.co/hwjXtukYBG
@DanielZeichner@camcycle
Brilliant! Reallocating Road space to cyclists is always welcome. Please do the same @lewis_herbert on Adams Road, the busiest cycle route in the city. I’m sure you won’t be tempted to add 280 buses a day to this already narrow road.
