Institute for Safety Problems of Nuclear Power Plants NAS of Ukraine published info-certificate on radioactive pollution of atmosphere due to forest fires in CEZ. All levels of radionuclide activity concentration in air remain less than established norms. https://t.co/XlQFO1wZ7Q
We are observing the largest number of wildfires in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone in the last three years, and they’re dramatically growing due to dry and hot weather. The radiation situation in Ukraine is normal, and in the zone it remains within its typical limits.
State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine @SSTC_NRS carried out a predictive assessment of air mass movement trajectories and modeled atmospheric dispersion from fires in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. No impact on the population is expected
Fresh new satellite images were just published on @sentinel_hub. The scale of the fires in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone is simply unbelievable. The radiation situation in Ukraine is normal.

@davidhelms570 At night, updated data came for September 1st, and it was the most significant number of active fires in the Kharkiv and Luhansk Oblasts for the past three years—1022 and 940, respectively. PS. Fixed the subtitle of charts to have the date range and added years to the x-axis.
The radiation situation in Ukraine remains normal, especially near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Our online radiation map of Ukraine keeps you informed https://t.co/pJH56zemeh
@Masa64bits Sorry, I was wrong, that values have not changed for a long time. Almost all the CEZ sensors show a slow rise in the values. It may be a fluctuation caused by the weather, as the warm weather came to Ukraine in the past few weeks.
@Masa64bits Everything is stable there – these high values are from the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. If you click on any of these sensors, then you will see that the values are stable and not changing for a long time.
@davidhelms570 We will improve the labels on the X axis so the start of the years will be visible. And it should be more accurate to see the yearly ranges.
According to the active fire data from the @NASAEarth FIRMS system, 25 September 2023 had the highest number of fires in Ukraine – 1989 active fire spots. Most of them are on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and near the frontline.
@davidhelms570 If you need any other additional automatic analytics of the active fire spots on the territory of Ukraine, then we will be happy to help. And thanks for using our system 💚
@iskrenmnchv@_since1987 The radiation situation in Ukraine is normal. It is important to remember that only government authorities have the right to declare emergencies or other extraordinary situations.
@___trek___@DrabovaDana We are not @DrabovaDana, but you've mentioned our system. These high radiation levels are from the sensors in the Chornobyl exclusion zone. That area was contaminated during the 1986 disaster. No public access there, and everything is under the control of Ukrainian authorities.
@systemf3hler@BuraKriptoo@AlertChannel These high radiation levels are from the sensors installed in Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. And they have been the same for many years after the 1986 Chornobyl disaster. No reason for panic. Please don't hesitate to ask me about radiation monitoring in Ukraine.
@AlertChannel There is no leak there. These values that are there for many years after the 1986 Chornobyl disaster. There is no access for the public to these places. And all the radioactive contaminated areas are under the control of the Ukrainian authorities. No reason to panic.
@LeeGolden6 All these high levels of radioactivity are from the sensors installed in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. That zone has rigorous access and only with a special permit, and after the verification of the person and learning safety skills, you can go there. No reason to panic.
@thatblackduram1 The data is parsed from the website of @energoatom_ua. They publish every morning except weekends at 8-9 AM by Kyiv time. Today they still need to publish. But we see that they published it on their TG channel – everything looks normal.
