Here are the facts @GovRonDeSantis

Black people didn't benefit from slavery. Their gifts of blacksmithing is what made them an asset. A trade they learned prior to being sold into slavery.

Before being forced into slavery Black people farmed, fed each other, created metals into tools, cooked, cleaned, and gave birth.

Somehow giving the idea that Black people did none of this prior to slavery is pure racism and why we must continue to teach this in schools. Even children must know the truth. All so history can't repeat itself.

I can't believe we live in a society that has republicans and racism recreating history. As if Black people had no life, knowledge, capacity of learning, or talents prior to slavery.

We as white people didn't create that talent. We stole it. Like we stole music, arts, and culture from Black people.

Coming to this land we call America we benefited from our genocide killing natives of this land, then buying slaves because we lacked the work ethic and decency as people.

We must teach the truth.
