As you’d expect I’ve strong personal views on the approach taken to covid management by the Tory government & our local MP but I don’t think today is the time to voice those views. I would reiterate the message from ULHT that people who need our care must still come in. Stay safe
BREAKING: A very serious situation at hospitals across Lincolnshire tonight as @ULHT_News declares a 'critical incident' over "extreme and unprecedented" staff shortages. It says it is "unable to maintain safe staffing levels" leading to "compromised care" across its sites:
This is terrifying!
A GP sued because 20 YEARS AGO he didn’t stress ‘strongly enough’ the benefits of folic acid to a pt
…who’s child, now 20, has a neural tube defect that isn’t even linked to folic acid deficiency?!
We stand with you Dr Mitchell.

MUM SAYS THANKS FOR ALL THE❤️on @Twitter👏🏽
I read her many of the tweets when I visited her yesterday & they made her smile. Many of you may be strangers but love & compassion still resonate & lift the spirit👏🏽Mum desperately wants to come home, it’s very tough😢🙏🏽❤️#NHS
Y5 boy comes in, edgy.
What's up, I say.
It's our new boy, he says, he's come all the way from Afghanistan.
I know, I say.
And he hasn't got a water bottle, so I've brought him one and I don't know how to give it to him, he says.
I sigh. Is that it, I say, smiling. We'll sort it.
Before #Brexit a Croatian, a Maltese, a Romanian, & a Bulgarian treated 500 stroke patients a yr at Boston Hospital. Now #NHS Lincs can't recruit staff & patients face up to an hours extra travel to alternatives - even tho time is precious for stroke victims. #BrexitReality
As a healthcare worker, I'm physically & mentally exhausted from wearing PPE for 18+ months. We have sacrificed colleagues & our health. And we have lost thousands of innocent lives. As a sign of respect & solidarity, at least, we expect everyone to wear masks in clinical areas.
The goodwill and discretionary effort of overstretched NHS staff is the only thing keeping disaster at bay. Why hospital HR systems do this is beyond me.
Dear Tory MPs,
Next time Boris Johnson asks you to go to bat for something you know is wrong…
Like withholding kid’s meals, pumping sewage into our rivers, or propping up a corrupt MP…
Just remember he’ll U-turn and leave you hanging like fools when the public outcry comes.
Boston's Professor Jonathan Van-Tam has been granted the honorary freedom of the borough by his hometown.
@Bostonboro say he'll be presented with the award at a special ceremony at a date to be announced.

Amanda Pritchard telling @CommonsHealth that the NHS was "not overwhelmed" during Covid will jar with many clinicians who actually witnessed what happened on wards I think.
Imagine this was your boss:
“I know we’re understaffed by 20% and you’ve worked flat out in awful conditions for 2 years, but you need to work even harder, in less safe conditions. Plus I’m going to criticise you in public”
This is what Sajid Javid is saying to GPs
It’s not on
Just for context as you read the news about GP this morning....
Theres a £250m rescue package for the whole of England.
Doncaster spends around £1m PER DAY on around 310,000 people.
