The State of #Qatar, on behalf of the core group comprising Indonesia and Morocco, submitted a draft resolution entitled "Empowering Women and Girls in and through Sport" to the Human Rights Council, where it was adopted by consensus and joined by 71 states from various regional groups.

The resolution underscores the vital role of sport in promoting human rights and upholding the values of dignity, equality, and non-discrimination. It reflects a renewed international commitment to empowering women and girls and ensuring their full and equal participation in sport at all levels.
